We’ve been offering Physiotherapy services in Hertford since 2005 and are very grateful to our very loyal patients who have returned to us for different injuries over the years; recommended us to friends, families and colleagues; and to those that leave wonderful reviews such as this one. https://www.thephysioroom.co.uk/

Following the government’s recent announcement, we want to reassure our patients that under thecurrent regulations as a healthcare setting, we are allowed to stay open during Tier 4 restrictions and that people are permitted to leave their homes toattend appointments. We will continue to have PPE and socialdistancing measures in place for your safety.
With the announcement of a second lockdown about to commence we are feeling fortunate that our governing body the CSP has confirmed we can remain open as normal and continue to provide our physiotherapy services. We shall be regularly monitoring this advice and will be keeping all social media and our website updated of any changes.
Please be assured that we shall continue to adhere to the Government’s Covid-19 safety guidelines at all times for your safety.
You can safely wait for your appointment alone in our waiting room and we are observing a 15-minute gap in between each and every patient in order to clean and disinfect all immediate contact areas.
Hand sanitiser is available for use both on entry into the building and in the treatment room. Your physiotherapist will wear a mask for your protection and we ask that you also wear one, and where possible attend your appointments alone.
Please contact us on 01992 500617 or [email protected] to discuss your personal treatment needs.

HSBC UK Let's Ride Local Free cycling routes and ideas!
Join the 2.6 challenge! It's not too late. Many of our patients were gearing up to take part in the London Marathon which sadly had to be postponed. It's the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019.
Many of these charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most; thousands of staff have been placed on furlough and many charities will not survive the next few months.
The 2.6 challenge is a fun and simple fundraising activity for everyone to help save the UK's charities. All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills.
This could be something as simple as pledging to run or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, holding the plank for 2.6 minutes, to gardening for 26 minutes. There are no rules – apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time.
See here for more details. There’s still plenty of time to take part.

So we've made it through another week and the weekend is almost here! We're all now spending a lot more time at home than we might like, which is why staying as physically active as possible is more important than ever. Find something you enjoy and get active. If you're having fun you're more likely to be motivated to do it and it will have a positive effect on your mental health too in these challenging times.

We can ensure that our video consultations will be private and secure, arranged at a time that suits you and on your preferred platform. All major UK insurance companies are covering remote video consultations during these unprecedented times.
Please get in touch on our usual The Physio Room number to book an appointment 01992 500617.
Video consultations are a very effective method of treatment. Many issues that we come across can be easily diagnosed through a conversation. During the call, your physiotherapist will ask a series of questions which might include how you sustained the injury, the location and type of pain, what causes the pain to get worse, and what relieves your symptoms. We can give you a thorough physical assessment by watching you move and complete different tests that we will talk you through. We can diagnose and create a treatment plan. Your physio will set exercises that you are easily able to undertake at home with no specialist equipment and will be on hand to offer support, guidance and follow up appointments. By doing rehab exercises at home you will be able to recover quicker and avoid prolonged or aggravated injury.
Our video consultations are perfect whether you have exercise related injuries, desk-based aches and pains or on-going issues. We can also advise on your working from home set-up.
