Give us 10 seconds… ⏰
And we’ll make you a block!
Our new super-duper factory has market-leading machinery and processes, which means we can make a new block in just 9.5 seconds 🤯🤯🤯.
But we’re not sacrificing quality for speed.
In fact, our new shelves actually move more slowly through the production process. This stops the blocks from being shaken and reduces the risk of damage. This means our products really are a block above the rest!
If you’d like to find out how our new factory can produce the blocks you need for your next project, get in touch on ☎️ 01842 778485.
Our Nazeing team contains some real stars! 🌟
This was recently recognised by our client Aidan Richardson, who left this top-notch feedback for our fabulous team:
“An excellent team at Nazeing Lignacite. Very helpful whenever we have any questions, enquiries or help!”
Thank you, Aidan, and a big well done to our Nazeing superstars! 🤩

When it comes to design, this building is riding sky-high in the style stakes 🤩.
Topping out at an already impressive 202m, Heron Tower then added a little extra with a communications mast, bringing its total height to an imposing 230m. As a result, it became the tallest tower in City of London upon its completion in 2011 🤯.
Inside, visitors are greeted by Britain’s largest private aquarium 🐠, before zooming up into the tower’s 40,836 square metres of office space. Each area is divided into its own mini ‘village’, complete with three-storey atriums that allow in swathes of natural light 🌞.
And at the top? A skyline restaurant with mouthwatering views of the City.
But this tower isn’t just a looker. It has also earned an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating for its eco-conscious design. This includes solar panels, great use of natural light and air handling plant rooms to recover heat. An adiabatic cooling system further reduces energy consumption ⚡.
We were delighted to be a part of this fantastic project, providing our dense Lignacrete blocks and our signature medium-dense Lignacite Paint Grade products for the development.

Hands up if you know what BREEAM stands for! 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏽
That’s right, it’s a pithy way of saying Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! 🤪).
BREEAM has 10 categories that can be used to evaluate the sustainability of all kinds of building, with an Excellent rating going to the very best 🏆.

Pop quiz: How many blocks can our new factory make in a day? 🤔
A) 6,000 square metres
B) 2,000 square metres
C) 4,000 square metres
Did you say A?
Yep, that’s right 🤯. Our brand-new factory can create 6,000 square metres of blocks every single day, which is the equivalent surface area of 4.8 Olympic pools! 🏊
With two production lines capable of producing our full range of blocks, we can meet your orders quickly and efficiently 💪.

It’s story time…📖
After more than 100 years of providing world-leading heart and lung medical services, Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire was in need of a new home 🏡 that was as state of the art as its care.
Swift Brickwork Contractors Limited therefore called on us to help create a brand-new centre for the hospital.
We leapt into action and provided an injection of high-quality Lignacite Paint Grade and Lignacrete Midi blocks to the project. The former added excellent sound and fire insulation to the structure, while the latter added super strength 💪.
The development went well, and the new premises on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus were opened in 2019, enabling Royal Papworth to continue offering first-class healthcare.
The End!

Why should you pick us? 🤔
When it comes to selecting the materials for your next project, it can be tricky to narrow down your shortlist.
Here’s a few concrete (😅) reasons why you should choose our blocks…
🔥 They boast an A1 fire rating, which means they make zero contribution to fire.
❄️ Our blocks aren't just cool – they're warm too! With top-notch thermal insulation, your buildings will stay cosy during the frigid winter months.
🔇Excellent sound insulation means you can say goodbye to unwanted noise and hello to serene spaces.
💪 Our high-strength blocks are ready to carry the load, ensuring your project stands tall.
🏡 From dream homes to sky-scraping towers, our blocks fit in anywhere.
🌱 We’re on a mission to hit net zero by 2030, which means we’re already hard at work to make our products more sustainable.

We did it! 🤩
We’ve been shortlisted for yet another award! (Go us! 💪)
It was recently announced that we had made it onto the shortlist for the Carbon Reduction category at the CABE Built Environment Awards 2024.
This is another fantastic achievement that recognises the hard work our team has put into making our business greener 💚.
We won’t find out the results until the 9th of February, so please keep your fingers crossed for us until then! 🤞🤞🤞
The 2012 London Olympics led to plenty of iconic structures being built around the Capital. This included the ArcelorMittal Orbit, designed by Anish Kapoor.
With its looping red shape, this instantly recognisable construction stands as the UK’s tallest sculpture 🤯. Placed at the very entrance of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it also houses the world’s longest tunnel slide 🛝 (who’s had a go?).
If that wasn’t enough facts for you, we’ll give you one more: it was also built using our Lignacrete (High Strength and Hollow) and Lignacite Paint Grade blocks!

This week, we’re popping the bubbly 🥂 to celebrate this top-notch feedback from Rachel Miller at Huws Gray in Sudbury.

We’ve helped to give several existing buildings a new lease of life.
This includes Springfield University Hospital, which has been a key location for mental health services for more than 175 years.
When it needed a bit of TLC, Swift Brickwork Contractors Ltd brought us in as part of the recovery team, with our Lignacite Paint Grade and Lignacrete Standard products giving it a new bill of health.
The site is now not only home to world-class medical facilities but new homes, community shops and a 32-acre public park 🌳.

Built using our signature Lignacite Paint Grade and Lignacrete (High Strength and Standard) blocks, the aptly named Stratosphere Tower was completed in 2017.
Soaring up a dizzying 36 storeys, Stratosphere now gives the residents of its 307 flats spectacular views over and the City of London 🏙️. A rooftop garden 🌷 and gym 🏋️ add a little extra lofty luxury.
