Brilliant week in the sun working on some topiary and hedges with in Oxford

It's always lovely hearing back from clients in spring following a good winter prune. This Wisteria was a tangled mess so we have begun creating a more structured form to improve flowering and maintenance.

Our most recent project Easypave tumbled and brushed Yorkshire buff sandstone paving and 50mm Yorkshire buff coping stones with western red cedar cladding.

The western red cedar cladding has started being installed on our current project.

I was at one of our previous projects from 4 years ago this week and the yorkstone paving with interplanted galium odoratum was looking beautiful.

Nice update from a job we completed last winter. The planting and wildflower banking have developed well. The wildflower was a solution to a stoney bank where the grass wouldn't grow and was awkward to mow.

Nice to have this reclaimed Indian sandstone laid and pointed in time for a weekend BBQ on our current project.

Dewhurst's gardens have been a little bit quiet lately. I have had the pleasure of working for the amazing designer Chris Beardshaw on his gold winning RHS Chelsea flower show garden.

It was an honour to build the garden celebrating the RNLI with every detail touching on the heritage and future of the this brilliant life saving charity.

Part of our current project, a new area of paving and a timber gazebo. We used tumbled Indian sandstone to match in with the existing paving. Looking forward to seeing this area evolve with some planting

Recently completed project. Sweet chestnut octagonal gazebo with a canvas canopy. The timber was sourced from and peeled on site.

One of our recent projects, relocating the greenhouse to make the whole garden a more useable space. Building a new paved greenhouse base, raised veg beds, a raised pond and a secret seating area which will be surrounded by plants. We still have the planting to come over the next month.

A recently completed project. New wildlife pond, reclaimed yorkstone paving, reclaimed dry stone wall with field copings and flat yorkstone copings to act as a seating perch. New planting to compliment the hard landscaping.

It's been a tough year but we have been incredibly lucky to have some really understanding and patient clients and some amazing suppliers who have done all they could to keep our projects moving.
