Had a play making beeswax wraps.....safe for wrapping food in.

Natural beeswax, pine resin, coconut oil.

Need a few more practices ....... but these are a natural and reusable alternative to clingfilm.

Time to make my own roman blinds!

All finished and ready for delivery. This has been a joy to sew and it folds / hangs beautifully.

I used a roman blind cassette system.....its soooooooo smooth to use.

Now time to make some for my own home!

This little guy was made from some very special clothing...for a very special little lady.

A keepsake memory bear stuffed full of love......

And a cushion to match for extra hugs.

Gorgeous duck-egg fabric, super thick to keep out those winter drafts.

Back to work........back to sewing.......and back to squeezing in an early morning workout in the garage!

Boxes of fabric to one side, camping gear to the other........a sweaty outdoor workout in Crete was much nicer!

And there it hangs in its new home........with such lovely feedback too.

I take no credit for the choice of fabric.....she chose and provided that.....I did the rest!

Another commission finished, checked and off it goes!

Beautiful velvet fabric, lined and interlined. Handmade with care.

The only bits done on the sewing machine are to machine stitch the velcro on the top and to machine the rod pockets into the lining.

Everything else is all hand-stitched!

Another day on our VW campervan road trip.....Another Loch......Another morning swim!

What a start to a Wednesday! A refreshing swim.

And I was in good company on this site......the lovely was camping too. ....she admired my dry robe!

And now for a few days away, no sewing......although I did sneak a little bag of crafts in as I packed!

Latest commission completed and hanging nicely! "They're perfect!" said my client........another inner happy dance for me!

Positive feedback means such a lot.......

Lots of hours of handstitching, lots of measuring, a bit of procrastinating about to match patterns or not.

But here they are, looking rather splendid. (Phew!)

And onto the next order....

Handmade roman blinds, interlined.

Back to lots of handsewing.....and lots and lots of measuring!

Outdoor cushions handmade and hand-delivered! And I think they've had plenty of wear already this week....

Waterproof fabric, made to measure removable covers.

Good job I overcame my fear of sewing in zips!

Sewing projects aren't all about sewing.......there's a lot of planning, checking, working out...... today's make starts here......pencil, paper....and coffee!

Looked up from the sewing machine this evening to see this beautiful sight!

And my next commission starts!

As a sole trader and tiny business, these words mean a lot.

Today i have a proper 'walking on sunshine 🌞' feeling....if you buy from a small business, your feedback is so important.

Another happy customer.......handmade, interlined, lined curtains with ruffle top! Made, delivered, hung with care.

"O m g they're amazing Sarah...thank you so much!" was part of the message I received....... followed by "please can you make me some more?!"

Repeat customers, happy clients = very happy Sarah!

Sewing on tour today! A quick trip to Leicestershire to catch up with family and friends......and there is always a request for something to be altered!

And it had to be done in the sunshine 🌞 today!

Stitching done......pins out.......draw up the header tape to the right size.......and I can't show you any more til the client sees them!!!

Handmade curtains ....really do have hand-sewing in there! Hand-sewing means more time, more attention to detail and more thought......and a few sore fingers!!!

Sorry for the lack of sewing posts.....sewing machine swapped for pedal power for the last few days!
