Hi everyone!
Hope you are enjoying the summer so far. It’s been a busy time here at Pippi Silver recently which included making and packaging up these lovely Heart Leap necklaces to send out to their new homes.
Heart Leap is a community started by Suzy Walker a writer who lives in Northumberland.
Heart Leap is about seeking the path that makes us inspired and uplifted rather than trapped, stuck and downhearted.
Wearing the necklace reminds us to live a life that makes our heart leap.
This collaboration started out with my friend Juliet commissioning me to make the first Heart Leap necklace to give to her friend Suzy Walker when she attended Suzy’s Alnwick Literature Festival earlier this year
Suzy loved her pendant necklace so much Juliet then put her in touch with me and the idea for the Heart Leap ‘merch’ took shape.
If you would like to own your own reminder to live a life that makes your heart leap for yourself please check out the link in my bio.
Oh and another thing we have even had a mention on Sparkle on Substack podcast hosted by Claire Venus .conscious when she interviewed Suzy recently.
PS what do you think of the gorgeous patina colours created by dipping in liver of sulphur? Those blue 💙💜🥰
Pippi Silver -'Rachael lives in Holmfirth with her family – husband, 2 children and little dog Pippi. She started making jewellery some 14 years ago after attending a silver clay jewellery course, mainly making fingerprint and other personalised jewellery for friends and family.
Fast forward to 2024 she works mainly in silver clay using patterns and textures to create simple yet classic pieces for everyday, often utilizing a patina to enhance the detail in a design.
Taking advantage of the nature and seasons around her as inspiration for designs especially as she spends a lot of time roaming around the Holme Valley on dog walks where new ideas take shape in the beautiful landscapes we are so lucky to live in.'

Hi everyone. How are you all? It’s all about a change in routines here in the Pippi Silver household this week as we say goodbye to summer holidays and return to the school routines and club schedules. The weather here is hot 🥵☀️so it feels a little strange in that this was the weather we wanted in July and August, but that is living in the UK for you! Pippi and I are back in the workshop getting ready for art@the house in just a few weeks time - 17 sleeps at time of writing! More on our preparations soon. Here are a few of our summer highlights….. from beautiful Sweden to Estonian adventures with a bit of Munich thrown in for good measure. Also met Joe Wicks in Halifax! xx
Hi everyone. Hope you are having a good weekend. Just popping onto the grid with a little plug for Holmfirth Art week. Starts today and goes on all week until next Saturday. Hi there. Just a few of the pieces made at our intro to silver clay workshop at the weekend. Now that spring is finally here I took advantage of all the recent growth, collecting some leaves to choose from and this is the result.
Thank you clever and creative students for a wonderful and inspiring day. Hope to see some of you again soon.
Hosted by our lovely friends .emley Thank you for your hospitality as ever. Xx
Hi everyone. Hope you are having a good week so far. Just sharing a few pics from my second Introduction to Silver Clay workshop of the week which took place at the weekend. Phew!
Another very enjoyable day guiding some very creative and imaginative ladies through the process.
I felt like the day just whizzed by, all easy going chatter and laughter while we worked to create our finished pieces, some of the charms would be personalised gifts and some to be added into other items of jewellery at home.
Included in the photos is one where the piece is being fired with a blow torch but it looks like it’s on fire. This flame is in fact the organic binder burning away and is the start of the firing process as the piece takes on its fine silver character. All part of the magic!
Hosted superbly by my friends .emley with a steady supply of hot beverages, biscuits and encouragement. Thank you very much🙏
More intro to silver clay workshops coming soon. Watch this space.

Liberty twist headband
fish tail pendant in orange and peach
ceramic gnome garden
pastel houses collage organic cotton tote bag
baby giraffe 3D crochet box frame
Teddy Doobry cloth bear
Border collie dog original
Hi everyone. Happy Friday! This is my first ever post sharing the love (get the idea) with other beautiful handmade products sold on the folksy platform by the artists and designers who have created them. As February and Valentines Day approaches I have gone with a heart theme. Starting top left and going clockwise we have
Heart suncatchers
Heart shaped scallop shell card
Heart porcelain tea light holder
Heart silver pendant
Heart coasters
Heart cushion from Love Lottie Knits
Heart hot water bottle

Hi again! I know what you are thinking. Another post so soon? Well, I realised later on that I had cut off my photo and all the pieces I made for part 1 diploma weren’t visible so here are a few extras including the little shell tucked under my seaside inspired ring! Thanks for checking this out xx
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Been reflecting on the last year quite a bit this past week helped along by a seemingly never ending supply of mince pies and Terrys chocolate orange! Definitely one of the highlights of my year 2022 has been completing both Part 1 and 2 of the Art Clay diploma. Challenging and rewarding, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and have my pieces to take home and keep and wear. Now on to Part 3 so watch this space. Met some lovely people on my courses and our teacher - the very talented and patient . Looking forward to more learning this year. Xx
Wishing all Pippi Silver Facebook friends a happy and healthy holiday. Thanks for your support this year and wishing you all the very best for 2023 xx
