Last Thursday it was lace-making - an intricate skill that the talented Christine (a self-taught lacemaker who also taught herself to play the Dulcimer) shares with her class. It's magical watching a bookmark slowly appear from bobbins and thread on a cushion.

What's the most treasured book you own?
You know, the one that you would reach to rescue in an emergency or the one book you'd take to a desert island?
Mine would probably be The Complete Sherlock Holmes - it's an epic tome that got me through some tricky teenage years.
We smashed it - with your help.
We raised an incredible Β£3670.85 from the Auction last week.
Thank you to all who supported us, donated items, helped at the event, bought tickets, bought lots and more. That means that we've now raised Β£55,124 towards our target of Β£100,000.
Over half-way there, in just six months!
