The new bedroom in the Virtual Apartment at The Lawns House in the process of colour scheme and decorating ideas play.

The Lawns House is changing. We are creating a self-contained apartment on the ground floor, by adding a hideaway bed in the Dining room. This will allow for flexibility, so that couples or couples with kids can stay just on the ground floor, at a lower price than renting the whole place. Dogs will also be allowed.

The first floor will be closed off to the smaller groups.

When the larger groups book the whole place, they will have a dining room, a proper bed downstairs, and access to both floors, which makes the best of all worlds.

The Lawns House Apartment will come with access to the grounds, the option of the hot tub, a ceramic barbecue etc etc, but will be priced so that it is constantly busy, as the costs will be quite low.

Prices for larger groups will reflect the running costs of the place, and so will go up from what they are now. We won't be reliant on this stream of income so will be able to negotiate higher prices. We will be content with a much-reduced number of larger group bookings, but with higher prices contributing in full to the costs of running the place.

We expect the House Apartment will be ready very soon, and are very excited about the change.

Some small additions to the Apartment - I always wanted to add a proper Bonsai tree, and have finally found one that I like. We are also experimenting with the introduction of mood lighting before we go all in and upgrade the uplighters in the ceiling.

A new leather sofa bed, and a new Hypnos mattress in the Lawns Spa Apartment (and a Bonsai tree!). Come and test it!

We have just ordered a 50" Samsung The Frame (2020) QLED Art Mode TV, and a new leather sofa bed for the sitting room! The TV should be installed in the next couple of weeks, the sofa bed will take some 3 months to arrive. With repainting throughout with Farrow & Ball paints, The Lawns House has received a boost of modernity and style. Can't wait to show it off to our guests!
