As the cans went down so well we now have Wild Um-Bongo Gold Award winning Mango Neipa on tap. Yum!

Also, as it's Sunday, we always have complimentary Cheese, Mini Chedders, Gherkins and Pickled Onions on the bar. Great local beer. Friendly company. Free nibbles. Classic Sunday lunchtimes are back!

Hello Holt!

The sun is still shining and the lovely lagers of North Norfolk have been flowing. So we bring you a new offering on tap... Malt Coast, Lager. 4.8 ABV. Continental style - Dry Hopped and Delicious.

And keeping on that summery vibe we now have the very refreshing and terrifically tasty Whin Hill Medium Sparkling Cider. Good old Norfolk apples with no colouring, artificial nasties or water. Pure Cider!

And best of all… On a Saturday evening we now have the wonderful Blanca (formerly of Casa Blanca Tapas bar) behind the bar at The Canny Fox.

At this time of year we have elected to serve a refreshing Pale & Hoppy Summer Ale and also, for the more traditional palate, the Wild Steamer Amber Ale.

As summer has finally kicked into top gear, we thought that another ice cool lager on tap would go down a treat.

Differing from Durations ''Good Times'' lager, WildCraft ''Vienna'' has a fuller flavour, maltier and slightly biscuity. But still as refreshing.

During our first week we had many customers saying how delicious the cans of Wildcraft Juicy were. So we visited the chaps at Wildcraft, garbbed a keg and now have Juicy on our 4th tap. The term "Juicy" refers to the aroma and taste of the beer. Meaning it is reminiscent of fruit juice, typically citrus. 4.4 ABV Yum!

Your positivity and custom means so much and we will always listen and strive to supply your favourite tipples! Hugely pleased to be part of the social scene in our lovely town along with The Kings Head, The Chubby Seal and special nights at The Core. Hoping for a great summer for all with loads of laughs.

Very pleased to announce that The Canny Fox will be open from 12pm today. It's been an enjoyable adventure creating a MicroPub out of the imagination and I'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all who have worked with us to bring The Canny Fox alive.
We are yet to be assessed by the local authority for foodservice so we will be drinks only for a short while - Crisps and Nuts available of course...

A BIG thank you also to everyone who stopped by for a chat in the last 6 six weeks. Your encouragement and positivity have given us great confidence.

Despite what the EDP have alluded to The Canny Fox is not ready to open this weekend. We are working hard to be open for sometime next week and will send an update as soon as we have everything in place and are ready to pour!

The Canny Fox, Holt - Little Local Pub, update...

Since the last update, there have more items ticked off the long and seemingly inexhaustive list that details the opening of a micropub. But we are getting there and the encouragement of those who have stopped to enquire and have a chat has been golden. Lead time on vital equipment is pretty much the only thing holding us back now and we hope that the arrival and installation will take place very soon. Now aiming for an open date in late July and will keep you all informed.

The Canny Fox, Holt - Little Local Pub, update...

It's been a busy week... Electrical work. Plumbing. Bar Building and lots more but The Canny Fox is now taking shape. Thank you to all the tradies who have worked with us to bring the ''little local'' alive. And thank you to all who have stopped by to say hello and give us such encouragement and positivity on the way to opening... There is still more to do but we are aiming for mid July.

The Canny Fox - Little Local Pub update...

The building and installation of the bar, equipment and decorating is coming along with a couple of hold ups here and there, though we are aiming for a mid July opening! Please poke your head in the door for a chat if you see us there.

In other news…

We are very pleased to be working with the WhataHoot distillery in King’s Lynn who craft a bootiful range of Gins and a stunning Vodka to enjoy with a mixer or part of a cocktail. We will be proudly working with and supporting a variety of expert Norfolk Ale microbrewers and will serve both Real Ale and Keg Beer.

Also the legendary BRICK pizza of Norwich will be making their outstanding pizzas for us to serve to you. And along with Bray’s Pork Pies, (probably the most moreish Pork Pie around) some select Norfolk cheeses, Candi’s delicious chutney (from Salle near Reepham) and more, we will bring together these fantastic local ingredients to offer you the pub classic – a Norfolk Ploughmans.

We are very pleased to be opening a MicroPub at 1 Appleyard, Holt (next to Budgens Car Park) sourcing and serving a selection of the wonderful beverages and snacks that Norfolk and especially North Norfolk has to offer.
Real Ales, Keg Beers, Cider, Gin, Rum, Whiskey etc. And our small but mightily Norfolk bar menu which will include Norfolk cheeses, handmade Norfolk pork pies and Scotch eggs, Kettle crisps and local chutneys.

We will be busy with the installation in the coming weeks, so if you see us at 1 Appleyard please feel free to stop by and say hello.
