Interior & exterior painting, excellent attention to detail. Also providing a dustless sanding system

A complete change for this hall, stairs & landing! Dark stain and yellow paint, replaced with Dulux Heritage "Quartz Grey" on the walls, and Isomat Isolac Aqua Satin on the woodwork (which took some covering!) Lots of Zinsser B.I.N, followed by Caparol haftprimer before the topcoats, and plenty of sanding!
All complimented beautifully by the new carpet which was fitted whilst I painted the bare plastered ceiling in the sunroom, using Tikkurila AR2.

Super clients, who were very patient with the disruption whilst working from home, and kept the kettle working just as hard as I was! ☕️😃

This was a challenge!!

I was given 3½ days to, "do as much as possible." So I put in a couple of super long days (sorry doggos!) and did the best I could.

The kitchen was degreased and needed a specialist product to remove residual glue leftover from adhesive tiles. It was sealed, sanded top to bottom to remove previous clumpy, uneven paint, primed, and two coats of Zinsser Permawhite applied all over.

Entrance hall was scrubbed top to bottom, several holes and patches from sticky hooks filled, spilled wax removed, and sanded throughout. Then two coats of standard white emulsion on the ceiling, one coat of white applied to block out the red, then two coats of Isomat Premium in Satellite Grey.

All woodwork was washed down and two coats of water-based Satin applied. I didn't think it was going to be possible to do the woodwork in the time available, but the lovely Suzies Decorating Services gave me a hand on the last full day (and a much needed morale boost!!) We weren't able to fill & repair all the damage, but at least it looks clean & bright.

I nipped to B&Q quickly one night, and got a basic coat rack and put up, so hopefully no more sticky hooks or random holes for a bit! 😆
Sockets, alarms, switches etc, all cleaned too. 😃

Far from perfect, but a definite improvement.

Did this lovely job last year, but I didn't get photos when I finished 🤦🏼‍♀️ Popped in today to do a little touch up, so I took the opportunity to grab some snaps! It looks great now it's been dressed. A few more things waiting to go on the walls, which will really complete the look!

Super clients, who always look after me and make me feel appreciated 🥰

Some, Before, During and After of a recent hall, stairs & landing. (I was asked to leave the ceilings, as they're waiting for the council to come and look at them)

📌 Proper preparation is so important!

Previous occupants had put gloss straight on bare wood, and the council had literally thrown one coat of contract matt emulsion over the top!! This took 4 days of sanding, sealing, filling, more sanding & priming, before any finish coats could start to be applied!!

Huge thanks to Zinsser UK for their range of excellent products for this type of situation.

Thank you Brewers Decorator Centres! 🙏
I will treat myself to some new brushes and other consumables when I next pick up some paint 😃

And thank you Brush Wizards - The #1 Supportive Community for Painters & Decorators for a fantastic membership, and creating these opportunities. 😁

This was definitely a challenge! Right on the coast and battered by the elements. The old paint was holding in a lot of moisture, and peeled off in sheets.

Lots of scraping, scrubbing and sealing was required before any painting could commence! The weather was blisteringly hot one minute, raining the next 🤦🏼‍♀️ but we got there in the end!

A revisit is required, once the scaffold is down, for a few touch-ups.

Yet again, fabulous clients, who kept the tea flowing, and my spirit high!

I love it when the customer chooses bold colours! 😍

The ceilings were painted with Tikkurila Anti-Reflex 2, and skirting with Isomat Isolac Aqua Satin.
The walls were done with COAT paints, as chosen by the customer. It's fabulous paint, with excellent opacity. Lovely to use!

A lovely little porch extension from a few weeks ago, painted with Dulux Trade Weathershield.

I also painted the interior, and installed & painted the skirting, but I forgot to get any photos of the completed job! 🤦🏼‍♀️

A little job I did recently in my spare time, adding some colour to the stark walls for Perun Strength new gym in Norwich!

Wishing Marcin the very best of luck with the new premises. Great trainer, and small groups. Ideal if, like me, you find the big gyms a little intimidating! Check them out! https://instagram.com/perunstrength?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

There was an awful lot of prep work needed on this country kitchen. I'm not going to lie, it was hard work in the recent heatwave we've been having! 🥵 Very satisfying to see the end results though, which makes it all worthwhile!

Here's some before, during and after photos.
_____________________________________________

• Ceiling and walls in Caparol Capasilan, mixed to f&b "Wevet".
• Back wall & cupboard in Dulux Easycare (purchased by the customer) mixed to Dulux Heritage "Boathouse Blue".
*Woodwork in Isomat Isolac Aqua Satin.

All the usual suspects made an appearance... Zinsser Gardz, TOUPRET fillers, Q1 masking tape, Two Fussy Blokes rollers, Arroworthy & Hamilton brushes, but the hardest worker on this one was definitely the trusty Mirka!

As they say... "Variety is the spice of life!"

A few of the projects completed in the last couple of months.

Lots of lovely jobs booked for the summer, which I'll share if I remember to take photos! 😂

Taking autumn bookings now.

Here's to a great summer, and don't forget to Wear Sunscreen! ☀️😎

Something a bit different to finish the week!

This garden bench was flaking badly due to being very close to the sea! Customer just wanted it to have a quick freshen up, so I removed as much of the flaking paint as possible, cleaned it and applied a stabiliser, before a coat of Bedec: The Paint Company MSP in matt black. It will have another coat when I return to paint the summerhouse 😊

Now for a whole 3 days off! 😲😎
Wishing everybody a very Happy Easter! 🐣

This one took it out of me this week! Lots of hard work cutting in between the beams, not to mention having my head at a 90° angle!! On the plus side, the family were so, so lovely, I felt like I'd known them years. "Granny" was just awesome with her "keep me alive medication" (half a cigarette) and her evening Special Brew whilst watching the footy at 91 years young! 😃🙌

I love my job, even the hard bits, because I get to meet some truly wonderful people 💕

A subtle colour change to the walls and tongue & groove in this coastal bathroom. Badly peeling paint over the shower area removed, sanded and sealed before painting and a refresh of the sills and skirting.

Happy client thanked me with homemade curried parsnip soup and homemade bread for lunch 😋

Many thanks to Mike Briggs Painting & Decorating for putting me forward for this one.

Nice job for lovely clients, Property Ladder Estate Agents, giving the Spixworth shop a little makeover. I love a complete colour change, such a transformation! 😃

(Using Sandtex smooth masonry paint, mixed to the company's colour choice.)

Photo quality really not good, but just to show some progress giving a local bowls pavilion a new lease of life.

(Using Tikkurila Everal Aqua 40, matched to Little Greene colours.)
