I’ve been making crème brûlées since I was taught by John nearly 30 years ago, can you believe it? I use the same recipe today, and my secret is it's all done on the stove top in a heavy bottom pan, using the thickest, freshest double cream, the best large egg yolks, caster sugar and of course big fat sticky vanilla pods. I don't think there will ever be a year that passes without me finding that good old thick bottom pan. If you're joining us this weekend, enjoy!
