What a stunning focal point 🔥

This is an installation that Paul and Adam did a couple of months ago.
The customer has just recently sent through the finished photos. We think it’s gorgeous 🤩

Today is the main man’s birthday - he specifically said not to post this 😂

Earlier this month Paul and Adam were working on an installation in an old terraced house. It was booked in initially for one day this month for the first stage of the installation which is:
To compete the knock out,
Put the flue liner in place
Board out the new opening.

They started off with the knock out and getting back to the original fire place which is a great sized opening.

Next job was to drop the flue liner down. This took longer than anticipated as the chimney was blocked at the top but Paul was not to be defeated. He opened up the chimney in the attic to remove the obstruction and used the “cannon ball” to clear all the soot and debris out the chimney, a very dirty part of the job!

The extra time this took meant the job overran; rather than leave it half done Paul and Adam came back the next day to complete the boarding out and do repairs to the chimney stack.

When a jobs over runs there is obviously a knock on effect to the next job and potentially the job after that until we have caught up. We very much appreciate the understanding shown by our customers when they receive the calls explaining their start date has been delayed.

Sometimes the simplest of jobs can turn out to be more involved.

Paul is out every other Friday visiting customers who have expressed an interest in having a stove installed.
He talks through step by step what will be required for the installation and provides a quote for the work discussed.

All quotes are valid for 4 weeks giving people plenty of time to get other estimates in.

This was a job we did a couple of weeks ago; we think it’s stunning.
It is the Grisedale pack we advertised with an upgrade to a slate hearth and a split face tiled chamber.

As with a lot of the installs we do in older houses, it involved knocking back to the original fireplace and in this case removing an old burner that had been sealed in the cavity. We then dropped a flue liner down the chimney and worked the Northern Stove magic which as you can has resulted in an eye catching focal point to the room.

Sounds easy but a lot of sweat and hard graft goes into it 👍

They will include a minimum of, a multi fuel stove, boarding out, all parts and consumables, labour and a choice of 3 hearths.

There will be 3 packages to choose from and they are:
The basic bronze
The intermediate silver
The superior gold

The difference between them will be additional decorative components, for example, mantles and tiling etc.

I was very happy from start to finish, from when Paul came to assess the job. I'd had two previous quotes, I don't usually go for the cheapest quote. However, this time I did, Paul was the only one who wanted to look at the stove and room size. On the day of fitting everything went well, Paul arrived with his colleague who I may add was ultra tidy and polite. So all summed up highly recommended. Just make sure you've got lots of tea bags they like it STRONG... 10/10 Rating from me.
