As we decorated the home for the Euro24 football Cath said to our Deputy Luke being Scottish and proud that she would love a Scottish flag, Luke mentioned this to our manager Sarah who then got her one and she has this now proudly placed on her wall 💜

The 80th anniversary of D Day yesterday - this day honours the bravery and sacrifice of those who gave their lives on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th, 1944.

They gave their today for our tomorrow 💙

This morning, we were delighted to have Dante the Shire Horse back at Greenacres Care Home, whist be filmed for an episode of The Yorkshire Vet ! How exciting 😀 we will be on air later on the year, following the story of Dante 🤎💚

May has been mental health awareness month.. as we come to the end of the month we wanted to recognise this in our home..

Today we went green!! Raising awareness for Mental health... 💚

Sarah got lots of green treats, key rings and stress balls for the team..

Bianca made us cup cakes 🎂

Looking after your mental health and wellbeing is very important as is looking after each other 🥰

This lovely lady celebrated her 68th wedding anniversary in the home at the weekend with her husband who is also resident and some of their family members joined them, she was surprised today by our Deputy Paula with a beautiful photo of the celebration which Paula had framed.. 💜

She was over the moon 💗

Today we presented the Yorkshire Air Ambulance with this 😀

£649 raised for this amazing charity to help keep those air ambulances in the air saving lives 🚁🚁🚁🚁

£630 has also been put into our residents funds towards purchasing a large interactive tablet for all to enjoy 😉

These funds were raised during our triathlon challenge and over the last couple of months.. thank you to all that have contributed.. 🥰

Meltham, Helme & Wilshaw Community quilt, there will be a quilt made of 100 squares created by our communities.. just look at how amazing these squares are... 😍
