Christmas Tree Recycling
Real trees can be placed by the side of the garden bin on collection day. If the tree is bigger than the bin we ask that it is chopped in half.
The Household Recycling Centres will also take Christmas trees.
We will be informing residents of these changes via a bin hanger (a copy is attached for your records) which will be placed on grey bins over the next two weeks. We will also be posting on our social media sites too. (Facebook - Huntingdonshire Recycles, Twitter - HDC Recycles)

“Infra red cameras can identify where you might be leaking heat from
your home. The Village Eco group have organised for the loan of two FLIR
infra red cameras and will have completed their training to come and
survey the outside of your house to identify where you are losing heat
from your property. We will be in pairs and will stay outside your
home.
Please book a 1 hour time slot from 4pm - 8pm from Monday 23rd January
to Friday 27th January 2023 by contacting me, Cllr Moira Munro on
[email protected] or Sandra by email or PM to Louise
via Facebook
We will post slots on the village page and on the pidley
village website page.
In your reply, please leave your name, address, contact number and
preferred slot time. We will confirm your slot and do our best to help
you with advice and contacts to reduce heat loss from your home.
We would appreciate a donation (amount of your choice) to PECT, who are
a charity, and who have provided the cameras- the Village Eco Group are
volunteers and do this because they want to try and help other
villagers”.
Thank you,
Kind regards,
Moira Munro

Even if you’re vaccinated, there’s still a chance you can be ill with COVID-19 and pass it on, so you should keep getting tested regularly. Rapid test twice a week to check if you have the virus and if positive, isolate to stop it spreading. Visit one of these rapid test sites in Cambridgeshire or carry out home tests.
