We now move on to our next event:

Boot Fair: Sunday 14th July on The Green

This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need lots of help and support in making this a success!

Essentially we are looking for people to do a range of things such as setting up, operating the gate, parking cars, looking after the exit gate and helping pick up litter.

There are four slots to cover:

6am to 8am
8am to 10m
10am to 12pm
12pm to 2pm

Don’t forget it’s Tag day tomorrow, bring a tombola prize! Summer party starts 5pm (free entry!)

On Friday 5th July there will be a tag day at school, we are asking for donations of prizes for the tombola for the Friends of Hythe Bay summer party that same evening, and donations of cakes (fake it or bake it) for the cake stall.

The summer party (5pm to 7:30pm) is free entry but bring some 💰for stalls, food and bar. We will have a couple of card machines too!

Friday film fun after school on 1 March! £3 per ticket which includes snack and a drink. Tickets available from school office. 🎥🎞️🍿

Our 💕Mother’s Day 💕shop will be taking place on Monday 4th March. If your child would like to buy a gift for their mum, grandma etc, please return the form sent home from school this week, with exact cash to the office by Fri 23rd Feb. 🌸💐

We only need 5 more pledges of ANY amount to unlock matched funding from Kent County Council and Folkestone and Hythe District Council. We need those 5 pledges by 31 January so please, click the link today! Any amount pledged, no matter how small, counts!

The Space Hive website doesn’t make this evident, so: We have total pledges from KCC and FHDC of c. £11k that will get added to the £ amount displayed on the Space Hive site currently, that we have pledged from the school and on the website.

If the kids would like to help Santa and purchase some small gifts for their loved ones, our Santa’s Shop is open on Tues 12 Dec. Gifts are £3.50ea and exact cash can be given to the school office. Deadline is Fri 1 Dec to participate. 🤶🏻🎄🎅🏽🎁 And if you can help wrap gifts on the day (Tues 12th) that would be hugely appreciated!

Don’t forget if you shop in Cheriton Tesco, to vote for our fundraising for our new playground equipment! We only have until 14th January! 🛝

planned to take place but bar and stalls will be in main hall, so please make your way to the hall on arrival. 🎆🎇

It’s nearly that time of year again, yes, Bonfire Night and fireworks! Join and support your Hythe Bay School community at a fun filled evening for adults and kids alike. We’ll be opening our doors at 5:30pm and selling hot dogs/burgers, drinks and snacks. We’ll end the evening with our spectacular firework display at 7pm. 🎆🎇🎆 Get your wristbands at the school office. £20 for up to 5 people or £5 each. Last year we sold out so don’t miss out!

Get ready for the Father’s Day Shop on Fri 16th June! Pick a lovely gift and have it all wrapped and ready to give. Gifts are £3.50 each and must be paid for in exact cash before 9 June. Forms have been sent home with children this week.

🤴🏻👑Children can design their own mug or tea towel to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III. Artwork sheets will be handed out in class tomorrow (8 March) and must be returned to school by 27 March to be ordered. Mugs - £7ea and tea towels £9ea. A lovely memento for an historic occasion. 🤴🏻👑

💐You may have seen our letter in your child’s bag this week - our Friends of Hythe Bay Mother’s Day shop is coming! £3.50 a gift, for mums, grandmas, aunties, etc, get them a lovely treat from your little darling(s). 🎁💝
Deadline for cash is 10 March and the shop will be held on 17 March.
Also, if you can help with wrapping the 🎁 please let us know!
All proceeds will go towards our playground equipment funding.

Drumrolllllll. . . We are SO HAPPY to announce that the Friends of Hythe Bay School raised £1412 from Fireworks Night to go towards funding some new playground equipment. Unfortunately this isn’t enough to fully fund the new equipment yet (it’s expensive) but it is an AMAZING start, thank you 🙏 to all who participated, and especially to those who volunteered. 🎇🎆

Fireworks! 🎇🎆
Don’t miss the fireworks display on Fri 4th November to be held on school grounds.
Doors open at 6pm for bar, food, kids activities and tuck shop. Fireworks will commence at 7pm. Family tickets are £15 and admit up to 5 people, single tickets are £5pp. Buy tickets in cash at school office.
Open to all families attending Hythe Bay School or Hythe Bay Childrens Centre.
Funds raised will be put towards new playground equipment for the school.

We are inviting any interested Hythe Bay parents/carers to meet up for a drink on Mon 26th Sept 7pm at the Three Mariners on Windmill St. This will give you an idea of what the Friends of Hythe Bay do and who we are! We exist to help raise funds 💷 for the school 🏫 . The funds go towards various things - come along on Monday 26 Sept and find out more! We’d love to meet you!

Congratulations to Lily Tavani from Dragonfish class who has won the Friends of Hythe Bay logo competition. Lovely incorporation of the seahorses Lily! This is now the Friends icon on our social media websites and you’ll start to see it across our posters too. Thank you to ALL the artists who submitted their work for the competition, there were so many fabulous entries.
