Plaza Builders Ltd is fundraising for The Trussell Trust. This fundraiser is being led by one of our Site Supervisors Frank Lombardi and his partner April.
They will be making Food Parcel drops to a local Food Bank in Nottingham so anybody wanting to make food donations please feel free to drop them at our office at Unit 4 - The Fulcrum, Lows Lane, Stanton By Dale DE7 4QU.
As a nation, we expect no one should be left hungry or destitute. Illness, disability, family breakdown or the loss of a job can happen to any of us.

Plaza are extremely proud to be sponsoring the kit for Holy Spirit Celtic Blues Under 11 Football Team who play in the YEL.
The team is part of the Holy Spirit Celtic Sports Club who run Girls and Boys Teams from Mini Soccer to Under 18 Teams and have over 150 young people registered with the club.
We will keep you updated with the teams performances and results in their future fixtures.

Lea Fields Crematorium was 15 months in the making and a great project to be involved in alongside our client Willmott Dixon. It was just an empty field when we moved on to site. After putting in the access road and setting up the site compound we brought in the heavy equipment for the earthworks and all arisings were re-used on site.
A huge congratulations to the Plaza team for being part of another success story. We would also like to thank our supply chain for their efforts too.

Plaza are assisting in raising funds to send Team England to the Dance World Cup in Rome in June this year.
The team is made up of 4 dancers who represent The Expressive Arts Academy in Sneinton. A funding page has been set up and all donations would be greatly appreciated.

The hard work has continued through the holiday season. 2 projects are handed over tomorrow ahead of schedule. We mobilised on a new project this week and the future pipeline is looking very healthy.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all newcomers into the business and amongst them some familiar faces.
There are some great things happening behind the scenes and we hope to make a big announcement very soon so watch this space...

Another groundworks package completed by Plaza on behalf of our client Wates. The Murray Park School project had its challenges due to having to reroute services while the school was still active. The Plaza team on this project was headed up by Andy Marchant and Joseph Costello, massive thanks to all that worked on this project for Plaza. We have received some great feedback from Chris Kirby, Daryl Green and the rest of the Wates team that worked on the project.

An early start for the site team at Loughborough today, 200m3 Pump Pour for Foundation Pads. A lot of prep has gone into getting this ready with over 35t of steel being used.

Over the last couple of months Plaza have been busy adding to our head count to satisfy our current and future workload. We would like to welcome the following new site operatives:
Jason Hind, Jordan Hind, Karl Barber, Rob Gamble, Jack Graney, Martin White, Junior Gold, Lewis Miller-Severn & Matthew Briggs.
We have also brought Erin Costello into the office, Erin is our new Project Co-Ordinator. She will work closely with our site teams and our clients.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new starters aboard and a big thank you to everybody at Plaza for their sterling efforts.

Well what a week!

In addition to five existing live sites, we have mobilised on one new major project, started two small works projects and completed exploratory works on a future project.
It's been a challenging but enjoyable week, everybody in the company has been amazing and we have had some great support from our supply chain.
