Meadow Glass

Well, what a weekend ahead! In typical "me" fashion, I've double booked myself, but with the help of my amazing mum, you'll find my work at Heanor Community Fair Saturday morning 9-12 and at Marehay Show Saturday 7th September 2024 from 12. Not bad for someone still suffering with a stinking cold!

Had some fun making these - can't wait to get back in the studio. 😍

Did you know that there are purple sunflowers?! No, really! Obviously, once I found that out I had to make one (and an orange one too!) 🌻💜 🌻

Many apologies to anyone coming to see me today, I'm afraid the only place you'll find me is in my bed! Still a fun afternoon happening at The Mallard so head down and enjoy 😊

Last minute Annie, but I will be at The Mallard 12-5 tomorrow. Come have look and maybe have a chat about workshops. It'd be lovely to see you, and there should be plenty to keep both yourselves and the children occupied 😊

Not the best photos - blurry bees! But had some fun playing with these. Another day "off'" tomorrow due to other commitments, but I'll be back in the studio Saturday working on a couple of new designs I've drawn up. Can't wait! 🐝 🍯🐝

Every morning I drive through a wooded area to work. As the sun dances through the trees, my mind drifts to fairies dancing around their toadstool homes, hidden from view, working their magic. These are inspired by my morning commute and the welcome dreaming that dims the annoyance of early morning roadworks and massive lorries 🧚‍♀️ 🍄 🧚‍♂️

No studio today. We had a quick visit to Ilkeston Heritage & Classic Vehicle Show where we bumped into the lovely Bizzybeecraft4you, and this afternoon will be spent celebrating a very special 3 year old birthday 😍
Looking forward to getting back to glass tomorrow. Guess where my head was when I drew these? ⛵️

I have been unable to get to the studio this week, but that's ok! I have so much time with my paper and pencil (and eraser) to draw up new designs. Yes, the old fashioned way, all drawn up by little old me. This is one of my newbies - breakfast on holiday inspired a heap of fruity drawings (excuse my photography) 🍒

I've recently come back from a wonderful time on a very hot Greek island. Inspired by the the little fishes swimming around me in the sea, I just had to make some. I will take separate photos as soon as possible.

Scrolling through, and I came across this koi piece I made some time ago. I think I might make another, and I REALLY want to make one in a pretty (unnatural) colour scheme. I'll get the non glassy project finished up and crack on 😉

Want to play? C & M did! C chose my current favourite blue glass and decided to make a 3D 🦋 fridge magnet. M chose the iridescent pink, shiny side up and wanted hers to hang up (still 3D). A lovely few hours with a couple of lovely ladies.
All workshops are 2:1, ensuring you receive the support and guidance to enjoy your experience. You too could be going home with your own glass creation 🥰

Recently, I had L & P in for a 🍄 workshop. They were provided with templates or able to choose to design their own, which they both did. They chose their glass from what was in stock, and got to choose whether to make a plant stake, magnet or hanger.
Lots of fun, and some fabulous feedback. Didn't they do well? 😊

Sunday, fun day! Made myself another fridge magnet. I'm gonna have the prettiest fridge in town! 🍄

Did do a play. I now have me a 3D (so difficult to photograph) butterfly fridge magnet. It fits in perfectly and is high enough up that little fingers can't launch it across the kitchen! 🤣 🦋
