This has gone on for many years. Sometimes I've wanted something in a specific colour; but can't find what I want very easily

One year, after moving into a new (to me) house, I wanted a plain black carpet. I must have visited every single carpet shop in Nottingham and Derby, eventually found one (cost a bloody fortune!).... a year or so later, they were 'common as muck'.

Similarly, I wanted red stuff for my kitchen once, couldn't find it, painted stuff instead.... guess what was in fashion next season? A couple of years ago, I introduced Rose Gold as the new colour in the Luxe Range... guess what was 'on Trend' that year (and I hadn't checked it out beforehand)

My Mum always says I am ahead of the game; I think it's probably more luck than judgement.

That said, ten days ago, I launched two new colours in my Luxe range of decorations - blush pink (which I had seen around the t'internet) and peppermint. So I was pleased when we went to a garden centre last week, and found a wall of Blush Pink themed decorations. They were still putting out their displays, so we didn't see it all.

Imagine my suprise, when we went back for Sunday Carvery at Shipley Park Garden Centre this afternoon, and came across this wall of lovely colour too....

Do you think I should get a job with one of those colour trend forecasting companies? 😂🤣

What is going in the kiln today? Who nose? 😉

Wow, Treehuggery, four years ago! We gathered a fine collection together, didn't we? x

Not new! Made this a few years back, using one of my favourite techniques called kiln carving, and favourite type of glass, iridised.

The technique works really well with this glass, and I think this deep form bowl enhanced it beautifully.

I think it's time I revisited!

I really do get the loveliest of reviews, this one may have made my eyes leak, just a little bit.

Well done to my friends at Richdale Sofas who were featured recently, and if you take peek through the photos, you might just see a bit of my glass sneaking in top…

I was recently asked if I'd make 'another one of these, please' - a piece that someone had seen on my feed

I explained that it wasn't mine and that a workshop participant had made it (a gorgeous dragonfly panel) - so she asked if I could make 'something colourful and dragonfly inspired'

Whenever I am asked to do something new, I often make more than one, to give the 'commissioner' options, and also to give me a chance to try out slightly different things.

Although these aren't something I would probably normally make, I was thrilled to bits with all three pieces!

I made three, and one was collected yesterday, so these two lovelies will be going in my NuMonday shop next week - if you'd like one of them before they get listed, comment below

They will be more once in the shop, but for now they're £25 if collected/local or plus P&P at cost (I will add an organza ribbon, I'd just not done that when I took these photos!)
