Our annual garden party was a bloomin’ success, raising £10,000 for Sue Ryder’s expert and compassionate care.

The event, sponsored by Day & Co. Estate Agents, included a barbeque, stalls, bouncy castle and face painting, as well as entertainment from Haworth Brass Band, Voices of Yorkshire and The Jivers.

Rachel Binns, Head of Fundraising at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, said: "We’d like to share a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us, despite less than favourable weather, enabling us to raise valuable funds which will help us to be there when it matters for our patients and their loved ones.

“I'd like to mention all those who helped to make the day such a success, including visitors, volunteers, and sponsors."

This weekend we’ve had the absolute privilege of singing at two very important events.
On Saturday we sang at the Sunbeam Garden at Airedale Hospital, and today we sang at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
We felt honoured to be asked to sing for two hugely beneficial, local organisations.

We had a great time singing at Skipton Sheep Day - Celebrating Skipton's Heritage!

‘MOUNTAIN’ OUT NOW ON ALL MAJOR STREAMING PLATFORMS!

After recording the track in February and filming the video in April, we are delighted to announce the launch of our single, Mountain, out now!

All proceeds will go directly to Music And The Deaf, who work hard to make music accessible for everyone.

All 6 Voices of Yorkshire choirs came together to create this beautiful track and video! We are so proud of our choir members for putting in so much time and hard work learning the song, and the British Sign Language for the chorus!

What a fantastic night we had on Saturday at our first ever Voices of Yorkshire Award Night!
Such a joy to bring our choir family together and celebrate some amazing achievements!

…That’s a wrap, folks!
This morning, on location in the Yorkshire Dales, we shot our first music video for the track we laid down a few weeks ago!
Our lovely producer Andy Thornton Thornton Amplifiers recorded ‘Mountain’, and then worked his magic on the track in post production!
We spent the last few weeks learning to sign the chorus of the song under the instruction of our very own Wonder Woman, Vicki Gilbert, who will also appear in the video, signing the entire song.
Alongside the BSL, the video will also include subtitles so that it is as accessible as possible for anyone with deafness.
Today, we gathered and shot the video under the expert and friendly direction of Dave of Lawal_footage.
The Yorkshire weather was kind to us, we had some horizontal rain, sure, but we were rewarded with some sunshine too! It didn’t stop our choir members from turning out in force and giving it their everything as always!
Once our video is complete, the single will be uploaded onto Spotify the video will be uploaded onto YouTube, and all of the proceeds will go directly to Music And The Deaf which is a charity very close to our hearts.
Spotify fees will be donated by Jo's Bees.

Today we had the privilege of recording our 2024 charity single, Mountain by Sam Ryder! Approximately 200 of our choir members joined together and the wonderful Andy Thornton recorded our VOY version of this beautiful song! 🏔️ Andy will work his musical magic and create a fully produced single for us over the next month or so.

We are then filming the accompanying video in a few weeks time (and hoping for sunshine!) where we will all sign the chorus! Filming will take place in the grounds of the Coniston Hotel and we will be in the experienced hands of Lawal_footage.

One of our choir members will sign the full song and our video will include subtitles so that it is accessible for anyone with deafness.

Our video will be uploaded onto all streaming platforms and all proceeds will go directly to Music And The Deaf. Streaming platform fees donated by Jo's Bees.
