We’ve been getting sparkly, glittery and very painty creating some of our jubilee decorations. We’ve also been learning lots about the queen 👸🏼and her special dogs 🐶 her palace 🏰 and her guards 💂🏿

On Friday we announced the name of the new primary school for Ilminster, Herne View Church of England Primary School and for our pre-schools, which will become Apple Orchard Pre-Schools.

We would like to invite the children, families, staff and wider community of Ilminster to participate in our ‘New Logo Competition’. We would like drawings of what you would like the new logo to look like, one for the school and one for the pre-schools. The closing date is Thursday 31 March 2022 and all entries should be either posted through the front door of Greenfylde First School, Silver Street or emailed to [email protected].

The winning design will be chosen on 1st April and sent to a digital designer ready to be added to the new uniform. The logo will then be used on all communication, on our social media and website. There will also be a prize for the individual whose design is chosen.

We’ve had a ‘chilly’ time exploring some coloured ice 🧊 using lots of lovely words to describe the texture and feeling of it, as well as seeing what colours we could mix together as the ice melted!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back on Monday 28th February for a new half term, we’ve got some exciting things lined up….starting with a week of pancake activities 😋🥞🤗
