Inverness still has places that feel like the olden days, with hidden alleys, cobbled streets and little shops. This is about a 5 minute walk from Wee Ness Cottage.

Wee Ness Cottage is so popular and we are humbled by the 5 Star reviews that keep on coming. Wee Ness Cottage is not posh, it's part of hidden 'old Inverness' tucked away in a quiet gravel courtyard and yet so central for everything. This 130 year old cottage is most certainly cosy, comfortable and very clean. As owners we value all our guests and will ensure everything is spot on for our guests. Herewith a message from our last guests. I hope you manage to read it.

Spring is a lovely time in the Highlands and this walk beside the River Ness is so close to Wee Ness Cottage. On the river bank there is a wooden coffee shop serving fantastic coffee, snacks and ice cream to enjoy before continuing your walk around Ness Islands.

Wee Ness Cottage has been established for over 7 years, a busy and fun time with our cottage hosting so many really lovely people. As we head into 2024 our 5 Star reviews continue and we strive to keep our standards high and do our very best for our valued guests. Although located in the centre of Inverness the location of Wee Ness Cottage up a quiet lane with no passing traffic is very well received. There are restaurants surrounding this location all offering a high standard of food and we offer a residents parking ticket ensuring your car can be parked within a short walk of the cottage. The Wee Ness Cottage was among my favorite Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. It’s in the most perfect location, right near the river but also secluded from the street in a quiet, gorgeous courtyard. Pauline and Joep thought of everything for their guests, and I truly couldn’t have asked for more for our stay in Inverness. I would highly recommend the Wee Ness Cottage for anyone looking to visit Inverness.

Apart from 4 reviews that gave us 4 star, which is pretty good, all the others are 5 star. Its a satisfactory feeling to know that we must be doing it right and we have also met so many very nice people as well. Heres to the next 300 reviews!

Wee Ness Cottage is filling up fast and our excellent 5 star reviews just keep on coming. Its so good that we have left Covid pretty much behind and the local shops and restaurants are busy again and the visitor experiences are all in full swing. Whether its a boat trip on Loch Ness to find the Monster or simply a walk around the famous Islands, that are just on your doorstep, you will be happy to return to the peaceful comfort that Wee Ness Cottage provides. Although the winter is upon us Wee Ness Cottage is as always a warm and welcoming place to visit. Our central yet quiet location ensures a real 'relax and rest' stay whilst being in the centre of things should you wish to 'get up and go'! So many fantastic areas to visit and great walks right on your doorstep. Inverness has an excellent choice of quality restaurants all in close proximity with at least 5 within a 5 minute walk! The cottage itself is over 100 years old and is part of the original Inverness being tucked away with no passing traffic despite have a Tesco situated very close by. Inside there is a modern central heating system to keep you cosy and very comfy beds with crisp white bedlinen. Every detail has been carefully considered and our 5 Star rating is fully justified. Come and see for yourself!

“We had a wonderful three night stay in Wee Ness cottage. The pictures did not do this place justice, it had everything we needed and more, was impeccably clean and perfectly situated. Joep had some great local recommendations for us and could not have been more welcoming. A really rare find in a brilliant city.”

We absolutely loved our stay at wee ness, it was simply perfect for our needs. our host Joep was on hand shortly after our arrival and gave us a most warm welcome and explained how everything worked. he also followed up with a text message during our stay just to make sure everything was going ok for us, which was much appreciated. the cottage is well equipped with everything you will need for a self-catering holiday. our stay was for 8-nights and we used wee ness as an ideal base for exploring the area including a road trip up to ullapool, this was a holiday highlight. the area to the north of ullapool is just stunning with amazing views looking over toward assynt and the very stunning sheer cliffs of the mountain stac pollaidh. we had our bikes with us, and the cottage does also have a very good sized shed for storing the bikes. inverness is a very cycle friendly area. we did lots of cycling around town to take us to various points of interest and to some lovely woodland walks. the caledonia canal is extremely close and a cycle down (or walk) the tow-path to dochgarroch was very enjoyable. you will find a lovely café there that does lunches and superb cakes! the location of wee ness could not be better, right in the heart of inverness, just a few yards from the river with lots of really nice restaurants nearby. we particularly liked the rocpool and café one. it was a fantastic stay and we were loathed to leave………we will return sometime soon of that i’m sure!
