Interested in a career in education and childcare? Hear from Anna who studied BA (Hons) Gaelic and Education at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, a partner of UHI:
“I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig was my first choice because of the course layout and the opportunity to study on the Isle of Skye! We were well supported; with one-to-one assistance when needed, and any questions were answered straight away. There was never a problem too big or small. You always felt supported and a part of a university community. It’s a smaller campus, so you get to know people a lot better, and it’s a nice community. The campus is so lovely, and there are so many things to do outdoors. I definitely recommend studying there!"

A bheil ùidh agad ann an dreuchd ann am foghlam agus cùram-chloinne? Cluinn bho Anna a rinn BA (le Urram) Gàidhlig agus Foghlam aig , com-pàirtiche aig UHI:
“Bha mi a-riamh ag iarraidh a bhith nam thidsear agus b’ e Sabhal Mòr Ostaig a’ chiad roghainn a bh’ agam air sgàth cruth a’ chùrsa agus an cothrom air ionnsachadh san Eilean Sgitheanach! Fhuair sinn deagh thaic; le cuideachadh aon-ri-aon nuair a bha feum air, agus chaidh ceistean sam bith a fhreagairt sa bhad. Cha robh duilgheadas ann a-riamh ro mhòr no ro bheag. Bha thu an-còmhnaidh a’ faireachdainn taic agus pàirt de choimhearsnachd oilthighe. Is e àrainn nas lugha a th’ ann, agus mar sin gheibh thu eòlas nas fheàrr air daoine, agus is e coimhearsnachd shnog a th’ ann. Tha an àrainn cho brèagha, agus tha uimhir de rudan ri dhèanamh a-muigh. Tha mi gu cinnteach a’ moladh a bhith ag ionnsachadh an sin! ”
