**Fairy Pools Update: A Temporary Change to Our Skye Tours**

Due to the significant increase in over tourism and the resulting traffic congestion at the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend visits to this location on our Skye tours.

The narrow single-track road leading to the Fairy Pools has become increasingly impassable due to the high volume of traffic and the misuse of passing places. Additionally, many visitors are venturing off the designated paths, causing damage to the fragile peatland and creating further obstructions and blocking the road for hours on end affecting local residents and people who work in Glen Brittle.

We believe that the risks associated with traveling to the Fairy Pools, including potential vehicle damage and long delays due to traffic jams, outweigh the benefits for our guests. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all our travellers, and we feel that this temporary measure is necessary to ensure their well-being as well as the driver guide conducting the tour. We encourage visitors not only coming on our tours but others visiting on their own to explore the many other stunning attractions that the Isle of Skye has to offer. While we are unable to include the Fairy Pools on our tours, we will continue to offer a variety of other exciting itineraries whilst visiting the Isle of Skye.

We will reassess this situation once the road infrastructure has been improved to accommodate the increased traffic volume. Thank you for your understanding.

I get to meet the loveliest folk on my tours. Despite the savage usual unpredictable weather on Skye today we had such a great hike up the Stòr 😁👍🏻 This lovely family from San Diego had a great time and actually loved the rain seeing as they don't get much back home, embraced it and got soaked which was nice 🤣🤣

A great tour out yesterday to Skye with this lovely couple Bryan and Jessica from Canada. For the most part we actually managed to dodge the few showers we had along the way, but the weather was actually really lovely.

Everybody meet father and son from San Francisco on my tour today, from left to right, Ryan, Ryan and Ryan 😂👍🏻👍🏻 I kid you not for the first time ever on tour there were three of us named Ryan. On our way back to Inverness we passed a friend of mine another Ryan is his van and gave him a wave 😂👍🏻

Day 3 of 4 On Tour. What an amazing day on Skye today, amazing weather and great company to spend a day at work on my birthday with. The sun was shining all day and some beautiful icey landscapes topped off with a stunning sunset at Neist Point Lighthouse. Portree to Edinburgh tomorrow via Glencoe for the last day then drive home to Inverness 😁

A very chilly Day 2 / 4 on tour today from Inverness to Portree, at one point it was -9.5c which was a bit chilly with the kilt 🤣 absolutely stunning day for it.

Day 1 of 4 Tour started this morning from St Andrews, stopping off at Glamis Castle, Donnator Castle, Stonehaven, Elgin Cathedral, Johnstons of Elgin for some shopping and onto Inverness cracking weather all day and lovely folk, couldn't have asked for a better bunch for a 4 day tour, off to Skye for two days then Skye to Edinburgh via Glencoe then home from Edinburgh 😊 it's been a cold but stunning day 1.

So in my spare time when I'm not touring The Highlands I like to make music. This is a track I finished yesterday which incorporates some Gaelic vocals to a Melodic Techno/House tune. Not to everyone's liking and different from me playing my guitar or piano for a change, this way I'm incognito 🤣 see what you think and get it on in the car. 🤣 Also putting my design head on I designed the cover too.
