Congratulations to Ticket to Ride for being the first employer in the Highlands to sign up to the Living Pension 🎉 our new accreditation for employers who want to help workers build a pension pot that meets living costs in retirement.

The Living Pension savings target is 12% of a worker’s annual salary, of which the employer pays in at least 7%. This builds on auto-enrolment, where the employer is only required to contribute 3%. The Living Pension savings target can also be implemented as a cash amount of £2,550 a year, based on 12% of a real Living Wage worker’s salary. The employer contributes at least £1,448 to this cash amount.

We are really impressed with our colleague Tyler’s achievements over the past year and a half. When he started working with us last March we knew he was mad about bikes but only had a little workshop experience. Less than 18 months later Tyler has risen to become a Velotech Platinum qualified Bike Mechanic who makes a huge contribution to the business and is a pleasure to work with. Out of work his progress has been even more impressive

!!STOLEN BIKES ALERT!! - Please share

Two of our hire bikes were stolen while locked up at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh yesterday. Our lovely french visitors are distraught and we're none to happy about it either.

The bikes are quite distinctive being a bright orange colour and have a fairly difficult to remove decal as pictured "Ticket To Ride | ". They also have Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus tyres which is not what they come with.

If anyone has any information please don't hesitate to let us know. Police Scotland Edinburgh have been informed

Today marks 4️⃣0️⃣ years to the day since release of 's favourite film. To mark 40 years, 40 cyclists went on a 40 mile Banffshire bike ride from Turriff-Pennan-Turriff (ft several climbs with the dreaded % signs)!

Huge thanks to Monika & Roland Pennan Inn Bnb&Gallery for providing essential coffee and muffins. Great to see the famous Pennan Inn thriving and the iconic telephone box still an essential photo 40 yrs on!
