Like with any surface piercing, this placement requires careful consideration of anatomical features as well as lifestyle choices to ensure a successful healing. Apologies for the quiet spell! We had a hugely busy time behind the scenes recently with BMXNet 2023 in Berlin and now being back in Berling with our dear friends at .piercing.berlin where also this piercing was done a few days ago!

Featuring one of 's fine 14karat white gold leafs, this adorable customer came to us for a new Helix / scapha piercing. A fine choice, as this piece very beautifully adorns her anatomy!

Something we don't see very often round these ends are transverse lobe piercings. So you can probably imagine the excitement when Jack let us do a transverse lobe on them as part of their ear curation.

The piercing here was done with a curved barbell from one side of the lobe to the other one.

And today was finally the day!

Today, Jack came to us to start their curation project involving upgrading some existing piercings as well as some new piercings.

After having pierced a transverse lobe (which we will post soon), a forward Helix as well as an Anti Tragus, we got to install our first ever piece of BVLA.

With our time in Berlin at .v and .piercing.berlin coming to an end, we wanted to share one of the highlights of this week with you all.

This amazing person came to the studio for a conch piercing and ultimately went for a piece produced locally by a company called BERLIN GOLD. This 14k yellow gold sickle is almost like it was moulded into her ear.

Nothing is as constant as change. And that also applies to our bodies.

What once might have worked well, might not work some years later. Especially with navel piercings.

This lovely client came to us looking for a new navel piercing. After having become a parent and having had to take her piercing out, we assessed her anatomy and decided that a floating navel piercing would be the most suitable solution for her.

Using a 5mm disc anodised in a deep purple in-house, she is now more than happy with her new piercing, specifically fitted and pierced for her anatomy.

A while ago Nikki came to us for a bit of a different project.

We pierced her ear 3 times with these 14k yellowgold spikes. Now it was time for a checkup and a downsize so we got a chance to snap a few pictures of it.

Summer is here, and what is more fitting than getting a new addition to our friend's piercing collection in the theme of our buzzing friends! 🐝

With summer now definitely being upon us, we will be having a small summer break. From 16th of June until 27th of June, we will be in Norway with our siblings of for all sorts of hook and flight shenanigans.

Part of getting new piercings is patience. A whole lot of it. And even more so when wanting to eventually swap the jewellery out for rings.

We recommend waiting for AT LEAST 6 to 8 months, with 8 to 10 months being even better from the day of piercing.

The reason for this is the prolonged healing period with all its different stages until a piercing is ready for the swap. We have a blog entry about the different stages of healing on our website if you are interested.

Ayla waited a very good amount until we swapped the jewellery out for a pair of these beautiful handmade Niobium seam rings with a hammered finished and anodised in Blurple, a mix of blue and purple.
