We have no affiliation with this charity (yet) but their vision parallels ours, so we wanted to give a shout-out to local heroes. Nacro helps give people a fresh start by providing educational and housing support. Their goal is to aid others in regaining their independence, giving them an opportunity to start over. They also advocate for those who are often ignored (namely the homeless and those previously incarcerated), in the hopes of creating social change that will make getting help easier for those who need it.

We spend so much time looking down and in when there's so much power in looking up and out.

The nurse is certainly in with coconut oil around. Pleasant smelling and helps heal wounds. What's not to love?

We wish this was a joke, but sadly not. In many countries, monkeys are enslaved for the purpose of picking coconuts. Luckily our supplier NutriCraft UK is committed to fighting the good fight and source coconut oil from farmers in Sri Lanka. This means all of the coconut oil used in our soaps is 100% picked by adult humans. Never by monkeys or children.

Hope everyone is having a happy and safe Pride season so far! Today is the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the event that ignited a fierceness in the LGBTQIA+ community that lives on to this day.

Of course, there are many heroes from this time, but no one stands out like Marsha "Pay It No Mind" Johnson, a black trans woman and gay rights activist. Not only was she on the frontlines at Stonewall, but Marsha also co-founded STAR House with Sylvia Rivera, another drag queen and activist. STAR was created so that transgender kids had a place to stay, food, and pocket money. These queens were pioneers for gay rights, even when trans people weren't always thought of as part of the movement.

We wouldn't be able to celebrate being ourselves without people like Marsha. I will forever be grateful and appreciative of their sacrifices. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
