Rushmere Physiotherapy Clinic was started by James Lee-Barrett in 2009, inspired by his grandfather, Frank Lee.

James had grown up in awe of the local popular physiotherapist that is his grandfather, constantly being taught and tested on anatomy and physiology from a very young age. Despite Frank’s pleas to encourage James to follow the route of his uncle into Medicine, James’ vision of building a friendly, accessible Physiotherapy clinic was the route he took.

Starting off in his parents study, with only room for a couch and a chair, James’ built the clinic into a busy, popular and successful one. In 2012, with the support of his wife, Claire, James moved the clinic to the family home at 154 Colchester Road and was able to expand the clinic with the addition of another treatment room.

The clinic now has 5 Physiotherapists, this enables us to teach each other and keep up to-date with the latest developments in the physiotherapy world. Often discussing cases for different view points for treatments and to re-enforce our own clinical reasoning skills. This also enables us to manage the case-loads much more effectively which keeps us enthusiastic for our amazing clients when you come to see us.
