A bit of fun on a recent project! After photo, during and before!
This beautiful farmhouse in Suffolk has thrown up many challenges but I think everyone will agree it’s been worth it!
As part of a total renovation project in Suffolk, here is a focus on the process leading to a beautiful new Oak Porch.
Here is a little before and after transformation on a townhouse in Suffolk.
Here are some renders of a new dwelling currently under construction near Woodbridge. It is a super insulated timber framed construction with solar PV and battery storage with Cedar cladding on the exterior walls. Going on the market tomorrow.
This house in Bury St Edmunds is whizzing along. The scheme includes a single storey rear and side wrap around extension with a huge family kitchen at the back and a garage on the side with a loft conversion too. More photos to follow! Have a great sunny weekend.
Finishing touches being made to this Suffolk house complete refurbishment ! It’s thrown up a lot of challenges but it’s so nearly there. Looking forward to sharing the finished photos
Here are the finished drawings for this very exciting regeneration project which will have apartments, offices and retail units. Wish us luck with the planning process!
A before and after shot of this stunning transformation in Suffolk. More to follow when it’s finished.
Here is a sneak preview of a massive project that’s about to be submitted for planning in Needham Market. There are some tweaks to be made but it’s very exciting. A mix of residential and commercial units.
Love this 😂. Turn up the volume.

This build has had more than its fair share of ups and downs. We are now most definitely on the up! With the finish line in sight, exciting internal fit-out work is progressing at pace. Check out the stunning cylindrical staircase and the expansive kitchen of dreams, both built and fitted by our friends at Churchill Brothers.
This barn conversion exceeded expectations, hopefully you'll agree, it's stunning.

The Babergh & Mid Suffolk DC planning department has gone completely mad!
From now on if your house is outside a built up area, it is considered to be unsustainable to build any extension or outbuilding that is not attached to the main dwelling. The policy is called SP03, this is an extract from a recent refusal of mine:
"Fundamentally though the site location in the countryside is unsustainable and results in material conflict with the JLP plan policy SP03 which does not give an exceptional allowance to this type of development. Therefore, the proposal is unacceptable, recommendation is to refuse permission for the alterations."
So the council's intention is to kill off the rural economy and building trade I take it. 😡
We would like to wish all our clients, suppliers and followers a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year. Here's to a year of love, light, and beautifully designed spaces! Best wishes from Tim and the team.
This farmhouse extension and remodel is finished, some teaser photos here but more to follow if we ever get some decent daylight. Very happy clients with a comfy Christmas to look forward to! Very well done to Cutmore Builds.

This project includes a single storey rear extension and a loft conversion. Really impressive quality of roofing, the slates on the new dormer walls look fantastic.
Just a quick before and after comparison on a recent bungalow transformation.
Massive progress on this farmhouse, it's all coming together really well. Looking forward to posting the finished photos. Huge praise to the clients and to John Cutmore & team!
The Swan Holbrook extension is moving along really well following lots of unexpected issues in the ground. Watch this space, it’s on a tight timeframe!
Sometimes I have to take my hard hat off to a client for their passion (madness?) to purchase an old house like this which is on the register for listed buildings at risk. Well done Malcolm, there are ups and downs and we are heading up for the rest of this adventure! I also would like to credit Natalie, the heritage officer for being brilliant through the process of this complicated project.
This Suffolk barn, nicknamed 'The Ark' is progressing really well. Apart from a steeper pitched roof, the concept is to make the converted building to appear the same from the front as it was before the works. The old timber frame is aided with a new one inside to offer structural support. It's a joy to save this lovely old stable building.
A final tweak has been made to the design of this new house. The Veranda has been reduced in size to allow for the East terrace to be bathed in sunlight. Fingers crossed now with the planners. Really looking forward to seeing this being built.
This fantastic new house will be submitted for planning approval soon. It’s going to be super insulated and as sustainable as financially viable (sometimes it’s not possible to do everything that we would like to). We are very excited about this one!
This farmhouse transformation and extension in Cambridgeshire is progressing really well. Not long now for the amazing kitchen to be fitted.
Really good progress on this house in Suffolk. The two storey extension is connected to the old house with a flat roofed link on the first floor, with some sexy roof lights. Looking forward to seeing this one completed.
Great progress on the Holbrook house. Demolitions are pretty much complete (everything had to come out) and soon things will start being put back in. Watch this space!

Tim Moll Architecture is out of office for a week. 😎
This is a part of the job that I love. Trying to work out what a client can or can’t do with a listed building, here we have evidence of not only a medieval mullion window but a later one to boot, all covered up. The good news is that we can reopen and put a new window in the opening.
