👉 Fitness games - 30 minutes with awards to win!
👉 Craft - 30 minutes, each child will have something they can take home to show off!
👉 15 min - food and free play break
👉Water play - 15 min
👉 Disco - 30 min, with a fog machine, dancing to their favourite songs and disco games like limbo!
In tonight’s Soldier Fit kids class we worked on focus, concentration, attention, ball skills and fitness. All whilst making it fun and interactive!

Soldier Fit Kids will have a new class added to the timetable!
Starting on the 7th of February…Soldier Fit Kids will run on Wednesdays & Fridays at 5.30pm. YAY!
The Friday class is still running over January and our round starts this Friday!
Each class has a maximum number of children who can attend, so please register your interest with me if this is something you are interested in for your children.

In 2010 I started running around an oval…one lap, then the next day I did two laps, then the next day I did 3 etc…I’d never been a runner…because I had some pre-determined mindset that I couldn’t because I had asthma as a child and I had been told I wouldn’t be able to…BUT the only way I was going to get into the Army Reserves was to run.
Long story short, I’ve gone from 200m of running to 10km! Its my favourite cardio, because it’s my time with no distractions, it makes me feel like I can achieve anything and ever since I started running, my asthma has never been better…❤️

A trail/road run through Shoal Bay and Fingal Bay!
My legs were heavy and my feet knew I’d past my longest run at 8km…but I felt great! My breathing was easy and I swear if my legs weren’t going to give out 🤣 I could of gone a lot longer. Must of been the extra energy from the rum balls that got me through 🤣
Finished it off with a swim ❤️

November Soldiers of the month! Isabella Kljajic and Adrian Richardson!
Bella is our soldier of month because of her persistence and consistency!
Bella became a part of our boot camp family one year ago! Happy bootversary!
I’m so proud of her! Three sessions a week and two sessions of those are at home with written programs. I love her motivation to train at home where she feels the most comfortable, but I’m also super proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone in the face to face sessions! I promise to try not to play too many Xmas songs and more Cardi B for you this month 🤣
Adrian is our soldier of the month because of his sheer determination and he is never short of a good dad joke 🤣 Not much slows him down…even with a few niggles here and there, he finds a way or modifies the exercise…like 30 mins of ab work instead of boxing! Adrian adapts and improvises and I truly admire him for that! Adrian and his wife Shanthi Ann Ramanathan are an inspiration to all in their 50’s! Staying fit, fast and mobile!

Today I woke up NOT in the mood to workout!
I had multiple excuses in my head…I hit the snooze button 3 times(Im definitely not immune to the snooze button)🤣
My trapezius is tight
I’m too tired
I need a sleep in
I’m too anxious(Isla has a hospital procedure today)
Blah blah blah…
But I got up…I came…I did exercises that wouldn’t irritate my trap and now my legs and my heart are happy!
My subconscious didn’t win! Past excuses didn’t win!

Today I scored a 50m freestyle max effort PB!
It is now under 45 seconds and my max speed has increased by 1km since I started working on my swimming in May!
This is my body adapting to the stress I’m putting it under in my training sessions and that’s what improving fitness is! It’s my body making me stronger, faster and more powerful for the next time I hit the pool…which in turn makes all the usual daily activities much easier because they are far less intense.
It has taken 6 months to reach this goal…can’t wait to see what the next 6 months brings!

You don’t need to be any kind of athlete to train with my evening team!
One pro of working out in my classes is I have multiple options for all exercises! I work with children from 4 years old through to older adults in their 90’s! I have plenty of experience in low impact modifications and all of these can be exchanged for any higher impact exercises in the more intense sesions!
No one ever gets left behind or needs to perform at any kind of elite level! You never have to run or jump in the classes either…it’s 100% your choice!
You might just find though…you are capable of more then you think ☺️

90 secs of running or 3 x 30 sec intervals?
Whichever one you choose you will get the same result.
