We always look forward to welcoming new talent here at Ultimate, so we were thrilled to host 14 year old Jake last week, as he joined us for a week of work experience.

When speaking to our Director, Paul, Jake said the following:

“I just wanted to thank you and all of the Ultimate team for this week. You have really given me an experience to remember and I have had such an amazing time with you and the team.”

“I’m so grateful for everything you have shown me and assisted me with, and honestly you and the team are just such a great group of people. The Hive, from what I have seen this week, is just such a positive working environment and hopefully I can come down some time again.”

Shining a light on future talent this National Careers Week 💡

The Hive recently played host to students from South Craven Sixth Form to learn about the different areas of Ultimate, including Fit-Out, Furniture, Design, Accounts and Marketing.

A great time was had by all, and we were also treated to a very cute visitor! 🐕

At Ultimate we take the roles and responsibilities of being a Principal Contractor seriously so in order to keep ahead of all the recent changes around building control and the Building Safety Act 2022 the team took part in the Building Safety Act Update session held by London Building Control.

As an industry we must not only encourage safe behaviours on projects but also ensure the buildings we deliver are safe for those who use them once we have handed them over. Sessions like this will mean Ultimate can be a leader for compliance within our industry.
