Something different for a weekend!

I finally had the opportunity to learn mig welding (specifically fillet welds today.)

Welding has always been another interest of mine and having the opportunity to be mentored by my own Dad! (Or Bri Bell as you may know him!)

Opportunities like this only strengthen the knowledge behind the manufacturing process, particularly with route adaption.

Next week I'll be focusing on butt welds learning the basics!

The welds in the photos are far from perfect but I'm pretty proud to say I've only done welding for an hour!

It's been a busy few weeks recently!

All artists are now starting their pieces for the exhibition and the range of images is phenomenal!

Furthermore, we have been targeting the next generation at Skipton Girls recently, the busiest careers fair we've had to date!

Another incredible week with two visits to Bradford College and Bradford City AFC!

We're officially industry partners with Bradford College!

I have been fortunate to meet a lot of incredible individuals over the past week with many plans to unfold for the next generation of engineers!

To top it off with an apprenticeship fair today at Bradford City and of course a compulsory stadium picture... 🤣

Today, we celebrate the successes of all women who are changing the world.

Myself and Lizzy are two of the 936,000 women in engineering roles within the UK! Equating to 14.88% of the workforce (2023 statistics.)

We must do more to showcase the amazing career routes available and to inspire and engage the next generation!

Local artists, we need you!
