Great paddle today Saturday 17th August and more progress for Robyn Murdo-Smith on his KCCK challenge, today St Margaret's Bay to Deal, some residual swell from last couple of days wind made for slightly more interesting conditions for him, but he did really well, his only real wobble when a couple of fishermen in small boat opened the engine up and left us with their wake, yeah a few choice words might have been expelled. This coming Saturday 24th February, South East Kayaking has two options on offer, our Towing Workshop, practise and develop your towing skills or a Trip from Broadstairs to West Bay, Westgate with the opportunity to pass through the chalk arch at Kingsgate, if weather is not suitable for either then a trip on the Swale will be available. The shop is moving!
Sadly our new waterfront shop has been delayed so we have a temporary move a couple of miles up the road. The new shop even has heating!
We are moving on the 3rd October, all the contact details will be the same, and opening hours will all be the same.

All trips are weather dependent and meet times and locations will be emailed nearer the date.

Red Sand Forts, paddle out to these iconic Second World War structures in the Thames Estuary from the Isle of Sheppey, you will need to confident in your kayak for a 5 to 6 hour paddle, lunch will be taken in the kayaks at the Forts.

Explore the North Foreland Coastline of the Isle Thanet, with the opportunity to take in the chalk arch at Kingsgate, this will be a shorter trip with plenty of landing sites.

Queenborough to Darnet Fort and return, paddle the Medway Estuary to this iconic fort, where we will stop for lunch, explore the fort before returning to Queenborough through the marsh islands.

Tuesday 2nd May Wednesday 17th May Thursday 15th June

Pegwell Bay and Stour Estuary, paddle across the bay to the River Stour Estuary, see the seals before returning across the bay and exploring the cliff line.

Goodwin Sands, paddle out to the sand flats from either Ramsgate or Deal depending on tide times, where we stop for a rest and bite to eat before returning.

Eastbourne to Birling Gap via Beachy Head Lighthouse and return, paddle under the iconic cliffs of Beachy Head past the lighthouse, lunching on the beach at Birling Gap before returning to Eastbourne.

Thursday 27th April Tuesday 11th July

Margate Sands, paddle out to these lesser known sand banks off the north Kent coast, this a shorter paddle to the Goodwin Sands and a great introduction to paddling to an offshore destination. We’ll stop for a break on the sands before returning.

Thursday 13th April Thursday 13th July

Petts Level to Hastings and return. Explore the 1066 coastline from a sea kayak, with possibility of seeing some seals.

Trips can be booked as one to one or part of a group, cost for all trips as part of group is £40.00 plus £10.00 hiring equipment. Please contact me for cost of one to one.
