Whitstable is looking glorious this morning. Has summer finally arrived?! ☀️ 🌊

Ahead of our show opening tomorrow I wanted to share a little bit about myself.

🌙I’m a wife and Mum to three lovely boys.

💫Our youngest is severely autistic, so I’m a huge advocate for neurodiversity.

⚡️I love the beach as you may have guessed, it’s my favourite place to be.

⭐️I studied Fashion Design at uni.

⚡️I had a career in buying & then marketing for places such as Debenhams and M&S.

🌟I’m blind in one eye, which in actual fact works in my favour when it comes to painting. 🤪

✨I have a beautiful lab called Poppy.

🌙I grew up in south east London, we’ve lived all over the place but settled here on the north Kent coast.

💫I love painting surfers but can’t surf 😅

and I are busy setting up our show today here’s a taster of what to expect 🌊 🌴

‘Shells Aura’ 🐚

As an adult I still collect shells & sea glass at the beach….anyone else still do this?? 🤪🐚

Whilst in Spain in the spring I added to my forever growing collection and had to paint some for this exhibition. I hope you like this, it may divide opinions but I really like it.

It may not feel like summer but come along to our show at the Whitstable from Wednesday next week and be transported to warmer climes.

Although I have a feeling the sun is going to make an appearance next week. ☀️ 🌊 🤞

EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

After the success of last years exhibition at The Horsebridge Centre, Whitstable. I will be exhibiting there again this summer alongside the very lovely and talented .

The exhibition ‘Between Sunrise & Sunset’ will run from 17th - 30th July.

The collection of paintings explores the changing colour and light of our favourite landscapes and seascapes from Scotland to the Balearics.

Another experiment 🐚 🦪 🌊 🌿

After my recent trip to Sitges & Barcelona, I was keen to experiment & play with colour. I took inspiration from the colours, nature, food, music, sights, history, art and so much more. A little different for me but it felt really good to loosen up and experiment. 🐚 🌊 🌵

I painted this back in 2016, of my sons and my friends children. We had not long moved to the coast from the Cotswolds. I could never not live by the sea now.

I would love to do more paintings like these. If you would like to commission me to do one for you, let me know. This is on reclaimed wood but can be on canvas or in water colours. ❤️
