A while back, one of my collectors described my paintings in a really interesting way. He said he loves that the painting comes off the canvas and when looked at from a side angle it creates mystery and intrigue, persuading the viewer to come closer and spend more time with the work.

I love that my work can peek curiosity and help you pause - get lost in a story that started as mine, but you can make your own and complete…

I have some exciting news to share!

Happy Friday all!
I hope you’re ready for the weekend - I know I am. The tree is going up and we have a full schedule of seeing friends, parties and food!
The kids will be home for the holidays in 2 weeks and I need to get ALL the things done in time! Then, I’m looking forward to finally winding down and focussing on getting holiday ready!

My grandmother taught us to always give to those less fortunate or those that need it more than we do. To always give something - the amount doesn’t matter, it’s the act of kindness that will teach us to always be humble and find a way to show kindness.
This is a cornerstone of my art practice and every year, I donate to charity (I don’t shout about it on my social media, as I believe the act is more important than the recognition).
But given that pain the world has witnessed over the last 2 years, I wanted to share the making of this piece headed to the in York.

All pieces are postcard sized and will be sold at a fixed price. All proceeds are donated to this year’s charity

This piece sold at the exhibition on Sunday and I couldn’t be happier.
I spoke to quite a few people who were drawn to its peaceful, calming vibes. Some saw a whale’s tail, others saw snowfall, some described it as moonlight and clouds and some saw water/waves. I love that we all have different views and my work can help you find whatever it is that speaks to you ✨

Print vs original! ✨

It’s incredible to see the detail in the print vs the original. I love the way the colours have translated.

I haven’t offered prints of my paintings previously, but the response to these at the the Spring exhibition has been incredible! I wonder if I should start offering prints. So you prefer to buy prints or originals?

About last night: I was at the 2022. It was a fantastic evening, in a room filled with truly inspiring women.

I was nominated in the Arts & Culture category and whilst I didn’t win this time, it was an honour and privelage to be surrounded by so much talent!

Congrats to and Gia Soni for the highly commended awards and a huge congrats to for winning!

A very big thank you and heartfelt gratitude to for everything you do for women! It was amazing to see female dhol players as we made our way in!

Someone asked me the other day, “why do you do it? Work, your kids, your family, your home, ALL the mum things and on top of it, paint?!” It seems like a strange question to me, because why not do it?
On thinking about it some more - I realised I paint because I love it, it makes me feel light and joyous, it helps me condense my emotions into a visual story - but one abstract enough that it could also be your story. Isn’t that such a wonderful thought?

I’m not sure I’ll be able to say goodbye to this one 😉

I’ve been looking for a way to calm the noise, there’s so much of it these days…. My work isn’t just about silencing the noise through escapism or nostalgia. We can’t always escape our everyday, we can’t always travel in order to rejuvenate and replenish.
But if we learn to sit in silence for a little while, in the comfort of our surroundings, I’m hoping escaping into one of my paintings would help silence the noise, the unnecessary chatter and help you feel reconnected, replenished.
As puts it “the gateway drug to wisdom is silence and stillness”. And it certainly helps to have an incredible view 💙🤍

There are only 4 pieces in this release. Why is it so small, I hear you ask…
This collection was a true labour of love. I have poured all the happiness of the British summertime into these - the incredible heat, the laughter, long, light warm evenings and the quintessential British seaside with all its deep tones.
They took their time to reveal themselves to me and I’m so glad they did. Each one holds a special memory for me and I hope they take you back to a special moment in time too.
