Rebecca Randall Colour & Design
Helping you create life enhancing living spaces. I help clients create a home that reflects their own unique personality and design style.
In order to create a home in which clients can live in harmony with their surroundings and which will enhance their lives we have to get to know and understand the unique personality of our clients and the way they want to feel in their homes. Crucial to this process is colour. I have trained in the psychology of colour and bring these principles to the design process. I hold colour workshops and individual colour consultations.
Colourful times in Liverpool visiting uni open day and picking up Ben. What a great cityπ§‘π
My Dad loved deep colour and planted their garden with such beautiful flowers. Mum preferred paler pinks and mauves. I cut these flowers from their garden on what was their wedding anniversary May 16th and took them to the graveyard as this was the same day we interred their ashes last year.
Very poignant as the house is under offer and we only have a few more weeks to bring flowers from their garden.
Rest in peace Mutti and Dad and enjoy your flowers π©·ππ§‘π
Colour consultations started! π€©

Delighted to have got planning permission for this transformational renovation and addition to an old gamekeepers cottage in Bidborough.
The planning process was long and challenging as the cottage sits in the green belt in an AONB and has already been extended. We worked with the client and the planners and ended up with a plan that will transform this house into a 21st century home for the family.
How satisfying that this project has just been started and will hopefully ready for a βBraaiβ in the summer! Progress shoot in stories from this morningβs visit β¬οΈ
I donβt know a lot about art but I went to the National Gallery Frans Hals exhibition at the weekend. Who knew that these portraits that were painted 400 years ago could look so animated, lifelike and modern. The sitters are so engaging and feel βrealβ in a way that many portraits of the time failed to capture (in my opinion).
I donβt know about you but the lute player looks like βRickyβ from Eastenders and the chap in black brings to mind late comedian Mel Smith! π
Anyway I loved it and plan to try and go to more exhibits this year. Love the colours and the style of these.
Happy New Year all! A quiet end to an exhausting year π
Looking forward to what 2024 brings π€

You only have one chance to make a first impression! Pink is not usually associated with Christmas decor but this door really drew my attention π
Our front doors are a real reflection of how we want to be seen and the impression we want to make. Front doors are so visible and the colour we use conveys something very individual about us.
What colour is your front door and why did you paint it that colour? π€

After many months of working with planners and our clients, we have finally submitted planning to extend this Victorian cottage.
The planning was complicated as the cottage is in an AONB and sits in the green belt. This plan will massively improve the current accommodation that was essentially designed for farm workers life 100 years ago. Times have changed and our design will change this cottage into a family home that reflects how we lived today. A new entrance, a light filled family kitchen and a living room that all open into the south facing garden βοΈππ»
Just 8 weeks to wait for approval and the spring weather to commence a build in time for a brai next summer!
My happy place π₯°
Worked on a colour palette for a client for their kitchen back in the spring and now they have come back for a palette for the living room.
The client is fearful of using colour but we have made progress and a blue velvet sofa has been purchased π

Coolest winery Iβve ever been to π·π₯
Absolutely loved helping people with the overwhelming choices in colour. Using colour psychology to fathom out how you want to feel in a space is a great way to start the process. Lots of projects seen today , but the greatest joy was in the creative process of helping people to understand how colour impacts us and how it can be used to create a life enhancing space to feel in harmony at home π

Back for a second day to help with colour and design for those who are seeking inspiration. I have loved being shown plans, projects, Pinterest boards of people planning and creating their dream home. Itβs so much fun and the creativity flows π§‘πβ€οΈππ

Dulux has launched it 2024 colour of the year. They state βThe colour is a delicate, optimistic and modern tone that is understated and comforting and brings a sense of stability and softness to a spaceβ.
Iβm guessing this is what we all crave in these troubling times. Pink is the colour of affection and love so being surrounded by this delicate shade would bring a sense of calm and feeling of being βembracedβ.
This waterfall was much more enjoyable than the current downpour we are experiencing π¨ Climbing rocks and swimming in fresh water was a real back to nature immersionππ

I chose Mumβs favourite colour π

Happy Mothers Day to all. My day was spent with three of my brood in Spitalfields sampling delicious food and drinking in the London vibe π
I have been on a break from social media as I lost my Mum after a rapid and acute illness just before Christmas.
My Dad wanted us all to buy something that would remind us of her for Christmas. I chose these colourful coffee mugs as they fulfil so much.
We all have rituals that are comforting and reassuring , many we donβt even consider. I have a coffee every morning and this gift not only reminds me of my Mum but I get to choose a colour each day that reflects the way I am feeling. Colour is emotion and this ritual brings comfort and joy and while I drink I reflect on all the happy memories of our time with Mum.

Lovely day out at the Battersea Decorative Antiques Fair. Always a treasure trove of great inspiration π
Well Iβve never watched so much daytime TV in my life! As with many families we joined together to watch Her Majestyβs funeral. I was most moved by the fell pony Emma and the corgis π₯
Some might say a very typical family occasion, teenagers on phones, a few naps but all with great respect ππ
Never one to shy away from wearing colour! This image encapsulates the smile that lit up her whole face π
Her life ended as it began with her steely determination to fulfil her role and duty to her country. My abiding memory will be of her working literally until the day she died, what an amazing woman

There are few brands that have created such an iconic brand colour that they even have their own Pantone colour! I was lucky enough to get into the Tiffany exhibition at the Saatchi gallery last week. What a great experience it was! Not only could you view the collections so beautifully displayed in their original window displays but you could actually try on the classic engagement ring and then find out how it is made π.
When they launched and chose the turquoise for the box it was a very unfashionable colour. Not so anymore - the power of marketing!
What a charming beach house on the island of Farol in Portugal. Yellow is so uplifting and not as typical as the blue and green usually associated with beach homes. Yellow is fun and joyful and thatβs how holidays make me feel π
Just saying goodbye to the very istrian colours of Croatia π
What a glorious week Of sun and relaxation after 2 years of no travel π₯³
