What happens after the photoshoot Part 2

I give all the images a mini edit just to make sure they look good from the first time you see them.

I then set up a Content Library for you, where I upload all the best images.

You then get an email from our gallery partner Shootproof, where i ask for you to go through and favourite the images you want me to add teh final edits to.

99% of my clients hate being in front of the camera.

And this amazes me as I am lucky enough to work with some beautiful people. But we all have hang ups about how we look and what we think people will point out and notice about us.

I believe that the most important thing I do in my role, is be observant. Listen to the clues of my clients, look around for the best place to capture the content we need to create and gauge how comfortable they are in each moment.

Using these observation skills i am then able to coach people in front of the camera to look their best, feel empowered and most importantly enjoy the moment.

Remember that people will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.

What happens after a shoot? (Part 1)

Well I normally get in and have a cup of tea - chill for 10 minutes!

Then I start going through all the images we took and deciding which ones fit the breif and will work for the marketing plans of my client.

Lets play a game - better still, to really see this work, pair up with someone and test each other out.

Have you ever (no, its not that game on a Monday morning!) Have you ever found yourself on auto pilot, sailing through simple tasks, even being able to do a couple of tasks at the same time with ease?

Its probably exactly how you do things in your business on a day to day basis. But lets pick a task you might do in the kitchen, like getting your breakfast ready in the morning. Shall we say tea and toast?

Sounds pretty simple, a flick here, swipe there, pour, stir and slice - breakfast is ready and you cleared a few emails too - winning at life.

So heres the game, now repeat that process, but slow it down, do all of the key steps while facing the action towards the door. Spread the butter slowly and in a half rainbow swipe. dont grip the spoon too tight, stir while hitting the sides of the cup every 3 seconds.

I bet that was not so easy was it :)

When I come and take photos, I try to let you do you, most of the shots will be just natural and I will ask you to show me what you are about to do so I can be in the best place to get the right results. This makes for a much more relaxed looking image.

Sometimes we do have to stage an image but I aim to guide you through that so you feel less stressed about doing what you do on a day to day basis.

When it comes to our video work, we have to plan for every shot because we want it to look the best it can do for you but we are mindful in making this as easy for you to deliver as it is for us to capture.

Blast from the past but I really enjoyed this PR Shoot that we did to support the launch of Lions of Windsor Sculpture Trail https://lionsofwindsor.org/

Back in 2019 we were only offering photography services, so we provided our client with high quality images to help promote the sculpture trail in the press, online and print marketing which included social media and website images.
