Hope Blossoms Floristry
Closed for business at present
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to put an update on this page.
Thrilled to say I had my second son in September and I'm enjoying being a mum of 2 βΊοΈ
But with 2 brings a whole new set of life logistics and sadly getting to the floristry wholesalers at the crack of dawn just isn't feasible anymore. I absolutely loved making my hobby into a little business and wanted to thank everyone for your support! I will continue to do floristry as a hobby and will always enjoy flowers πΌ
After much thought I have decided to start up a new business and become completely self-employed to give me the flexibility to work around my kids, and do something I am really passionate about.
Working as Sarah Hope Tutor Plus I will be offering services as a Biology Tutor and Employability Advisor.
I would be incredibly grateful for any likes or shares of my page while I get the ball rolling.

I was going to post something about this, but The Gravesend Florist have put it perfectly here. I spoke to a wholesaler last week who told me the cost of their Chrysanthemums has now quadrupled
The humble white chrysanthemum, the staple flower for a vast percentage of our floral tributes, used by florists far and wide for lettering, hearts, pillows, cushions, wreaths and countless bespoke designs.
This seemingly insignificant little bloom is currently the cause of much stress, anguish and worry throughout the florist community.
Why you ask? In the last few weeks, the cost price of this flower has increased by over 50%, it has more than tripled in the last year and it is increasing every day. Chrysanthemum, traditionally known as a βcheapβ flower is currently far out pricing premium flowers such as roses, lily and lisianthus (which has also doubled in price recently!).
Weβre hearing reports that it is costing growers an average of Β£25,000 a day to heat and light their hothouses. Due to the rising energy costs some growers have gone out of business, some growers have turned off their hot houses halting production and those remaining few have had to pass their rising overheads on to us, their customers. The demand currently far outweighs supply which is affecting all colours and varieties of chrysanthemum and a lot of other flowers.
We have tried to keep our prices steady for as long as possible but in the face of it, we have no option but to raise them significantly otherwise we simply wonβt have a viable business ourselves. We are looking at cost effective alternatives and will always guide you through the options as best we can. At the moment white hydrangea is looking like the best option although they all have a slightly fluffier finish. If you have any questions regarding this, any concerns or worries then please do get in touch, weβre always on hand to help where possible.
*Please feel free to share*
I am so happy to share that we will be at Rushden Lakes in 2 weeks time selling Valentines bouquets and arrangements!

Alstroemerias and ribbons for my first arrangement of the new year πππ
I just wanted to take a minute to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped to support my small business this year.
This time last year Hope Blossoms was all but an idea, and I could not be more pleased with how far it's come!
I love getting to work with flowers, to constantly learn and grow as a florist, and most of all to know that my arrangements have brightened someone's day. I see flowers as a symbol of kindness - whether sent to celebrate, commiserate or to show gratitude, flowers are sent by someone who cares. I love being able to put someone's kindness into a physical form and pass it on. It really is a privilege.
Running a small business comes with its challenges - the foremost being the cost of flowers which are, like many things, ever increasing, and whilst I will hold off as long as I can, I may need to increase my prices slightly in the new year to cover these increasing costs.
But the support I have had this year has been overwhelming and to everyone who has ordered flowers, I want to thank you for supporting my little floristry dream!
I can't wait to see what 2023 will bring... I have some exciting plans for Hope Blossoms Floristry!
I wish you all a happy new year and all the best for 2023.
Final flower delivery of 2022 went out this morning βΊοΈ
