Happy Pancake Day!

Our Milton Keynes Studio had great fun taking part in the annual Pancake Race earlier today at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes. The team won their heat and came in 5th overall!

Thank you to The Parks Trust for organising, and to our fellow competitors.

All proceeds from the event will go to future Milton Keynes Rose Cenotaph Trust projects including the engraving of new pillars.

Today we celebrated Alison Bray's 20th year at GSS!

Based at our Head Office in Kettering, Alison is the PA to the Managing Partner and is an integral part of the Practice. Her dedication has ensured the continued success of GSS, and we are grateful for her contributions over the last 20 years.

We're delighted to raise a glass to Alison and her many achievements at the Practice and want to thank her for her continued hard work and dedication to GSS!

The GSS National Charity Challenge is well underway, with the team setting off at 6am this morning and completing their ascent of the first peak, Rossett Pike, around 8am.

Good luck to all who are taking part in the Lakes 24 challenge, scaling 24 of the highest peaks in the country in just 24 hours to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates and photos of the team as they tackle 10 peaks today before meeting up with more of the team tomorrow to complete the final 14!

Our Studio had great fun taking part in the annual Pancake Race earlier today at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes. The team won their heat and came in 4th out of 25 teams in the final!

Thank you to The Parks Trust Milton Keynes for organising, and to our fellow competitors, Bidwells, EMW Law LLP, Freeths LLP, Smith Jenkins Planning & Heritage, Willen Hospice, MyMiltonKeynes, Howes Percival, & Fortus.

All proceeds from the event will go to funding the Park's public space known as the Milton Keynes Rose, designed for commemoration, celebration and contemplation.

Congratulations to Joshua Maddison, at our Studio, who has recently been appointed as a volunteer for the British Dyslexia Association!

As part of this role, Josh will help raise awareness surrounding dyslexia and create a unified voice to get people talking and listening whilst assisting with marketing and fundraising campaigns through sponsorship of some of his many cycling adventures!

Having been recognised as having dyslexia himself, Josh has pushed boundaries and expectations and is now a chartered architect, proving that it hasn't stopped him from achieving his career goals. He commented, "I was recognised as having dyslexia at an early age and struggled through school and education. Having recently graduated from university for the third time, I thought I could offer my time, knowledge, and support to try and help others in education and at work."

We are delighted to announce that a planning application has been submitted for the relocation and expansion of Bosworths Garden Centre in !

The development, which will hold up to 400 customers at peak times, will include a significantly larger garden centre with a raised terrace café with external seating as well as a garden display area.

GSS are delighted to be working as on this exciting project and can't wait to see it progress!

Yesterday the team celebrated Mary's 35th year at GSS!

Based at our Head Office, Practice Administrator Mary Lally is responsible for managing our internal systems and procedures, as well as the Administration and Bid teams and HR across the practice. Mary is an integral part of our team and has played a huge part in the success of GSS, ensuring that key accreditations have been secured and maintained, including recently achieving Investors in People Gold Standard!

We're delighted to raise a glass to Mary and her many achievements at the Practice and want to thank her for her continued hard work and dedication to GSS!

As we approach the end of the year, the GSSArchitecture team would like to wish all of our Clients and Colleagues a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It's been another busy year for the Practice, with lots of exciting projects progressing, and we can't wait to see what's in store for 2022!

A great start to the day as we hosted our Macmillan Coffee morning in the sun, alongside Macmillan Cancer Support & Kettering General Hospital.

The project team currently working together to deliver the new Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Kettering General Hospital had a great opportunity to get together, as Macmillan Patient Representatives judged the bakes brought in by our team to raise money for the charity.

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that GSS has been shortlisted for the UK Employer of the Year: Gold Award at this year's Investors in People Awards 2021!

At the start of the year the practice received Gold accreditation, achieving the 2nd highest survey score internationally for an practice! We are thrilled that our team has been shortlisted and can't wait for the awards in November.

Sam is Graphics Manager at our in-house graphics studio, 3DLabs, meaning he works closely with the architectural team in order to produce photorealistic visuals of our projects.
