Our story
The Wheatsheaf is a newly refurbished country pub in the village of Titchmarsh, in the Northamptonshire countryside. Nestled amongst the beautiful stone buildings of Titchmarsh’s conservation area, The Wheatsheaf has been revitalised as a traditional village pub with dining. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and inglenook fireplaces in the bar and snug create cosy and characterful spaces, whilst the garden facing dining room opens out onto secluded gardens. Both the dining room and garden are available for private hire, and the pub and garden areas are all fully wheelchair accessible.
Recently taken over from the great work of The Proper Pub Co, The Wheatsheaf is now in the hands of Stuart & Frankie Wright, supported by Manager Gemma. This quintessential country village pub restaurant in the lovely settlement of Titchmarsh, nestled between the A14 & A605, screams cosy & welcoming offering an array of freshly cooked food and a well stocked bar (craft, premium spirits, fine wines & real ales). With seating over three rooms, ability to cater for functions and events, a sun trap of a patio and lawned area coupled with ample parking, baby changing facilities, being kid and dog friendly: The Wheatsheaf has something for everyone. Special diets are also catered for - just let us know in advance and we will do everything we can to make your eating experience seamless and totally delicious too.
Titchmarsh is only 5 minutes from Thrapston, and 10 minutes from the historic market town of Oundle, and easily accessible for both the A14 and the A605. Barnwell Country Park is 5 miles away, and both Stanwick & Rushden lakes are a 10 minute drive.
