Lovely morning spent with our friends over at Industry & Supply. Look out for their next Classic Carboot sale coming up in a few weeks time. We are going to have a rummage through the store room for some vintage goodies to take along. .

It’s our local Car/Bike meet tonight, we will be heading down in our Splitscreen around 4.30pm, anyone else local going?

Classic Car and Bike Meet enables like-minded car and bike enthusiasts to get together on a regular basis, at a central venue, to socialise and talk about everything and anything to do with bikes and cars. You'll find many classic, vintage and supercars, Modern classics and old timers.

Everyone is welcome. Each month there is a theme evening where the featured marque are parked together but the majority are a mixture of vintage, classic, supercars and motorbikes.

On top of that, there is delicious, freshly made food, soft drinks and a mouth-watering array of refreshing hot drinks for you to enjoy at each meet.

Or, if you feel inclined, you are very welcome to bring your own picnic, and make an evening of it. Many do. Don't forget to take a look around the numerous trade stands round the perimeter too.

Pay on entry: £6 cars, £3 bikes.

We are excited to announce that we are coming to the end of a long term project that has taken up most of the space in our workshop. This will allow us to once again offer a in house fitting service on all of our products. We have added a page to the website outlining the the costs and timescales for each service and we will be adding more fitting jobs to the list over the coming weeks and months.

Well, what a belter of a day that was, the sun shone all day and so many people out to enjoy it. We were so busy on the stand it was hard to get away to look around many of the cars but what I did see was superb as always for Stanford Hall VW Show. Great to see so many customers old and new, and the feedback we got on our new Sundial Camper was fantastic , so thank you to everyone who stopped off to chat. Sorry for the lack of show car photos.

So that’s us unloaded (ish) and heading for the beer tent. If you’re heading this way tomorrow pop on the stand to say hi. If you have other plans, have a great weekend whatever it is you are doing.

A. 2 men and 1 lady to repeatedly tell them they were doing it wrong before doing it herself 😂

Sundial Update!! Today has seen us start to refit the original Sundial camping interior alongside some of our own products. The mix of old and new is working really well, very much looking forward to seeing this finished in the next few days.

The new floor is in!!!! A very busy Monday at Madmatz had us working on customer vans and orders until late in the afternoon, but we still found a bit of time this evening to put a few hours into the 65 Sundial Camper, we are still on schedule to have it on our stand at Stanford Hall this weekend.

The Madmatz 65 Splitscreen interior is coming on well and I think we are on target for taking it to show a week on Sunday. Today has been about hand waxing and polishing one of our Birch Plywood interior panel sets for the roof and the sides, it’s looking good and ready to install.

It’s great when we got product tag notifications, thanks to Reece and Lola VW for these yesterday featuring our Vintage 9” Tiles and Sisal Over Mats.

Our Screen Covers come in 23 different fabric colours with a choice of 19 edge trim to select from. Available in both Standard or Triple Layer Thermal for most VW Campers.

Our new bus has arrived, a very nice Sundial camper originally from California. It’s ready for some love and a few of our products to freshen up the interior. Should be ready for the Stanford Hall show in a few weeks time.

Newer followers of our page may not have seen our 1953 Beetle before so I thought I would post a few pictures from towards the end of the restoration when we fitted a full carpet set made from our German Square Weave in Oatmeal.
The timing of this is kind of perfect because we are now nearing the end of a long term contract that will free up 2 vehicle spaces in our workshop and allow us to start offering a fitting service again on carpets, trim panels and flooring as well as a few new services that we will announce soon.
