Glasgow earns plaudits for world cycling event One million spectators turn out across Scotland

In celebration of the start of UCI cycling world championship in Glasgow this week, East Ayrshire Leisure Trust wants you to get on your bike! We’re challenging you to hit the saddle and start logging your miles to see collectively how far we can cycle!

Getting involved is easy – this weekend just start clocking up those miles and recording them with us!

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw to win a 6 month Fitness Membership with East Ayrshire Leisure.

Projects at RRSC and Stewarton Academy are now lead by EAL, so there is no longer a need for a Community Asset Transfer. The pump track will have a gated fence around it and will have a 'pay as you go' floodlight system. It will opened and closed by staff during their regular working hrs. It will have a beginners section suitable for balance bikes.

The Cairngorm Mountain Bike Park OPENS TOMORROW!

We're looking forward to welcoming our first bikers to the mountain bike park. Our range of flow trails provides a trail to suit different abilities, whether you have young children in your group who have never tried mountain biking or you're an experienced biker looking for the thrill of advanced flow trails.

We are also part of the group working to bring better active travel opportunities to the area, for safer walking, wheeling and cycling. Scotland! We head to for the UK Qualifier on 21 May 👊

Their main Pump Track is 304m in total length, the largest pump track facility in Scotland, that’s 6 tennis courts worth of pump track and is set to make for some fine racing on 21 May.
