I've noticed a big change in Norfolk this morning as Autumn has arrived. The leaves were falling and the holly berries are turning red ready for the birds to feast on. What's happening where you are?

Autumn signals the start of cosy evenings spent spinning Welcome Fellow Wool WhisperersI don't know about you but while the weather was so hot and uncomfortable I found it difficult to spin, often waiting until the cooler evenings or just not spinning at all. Well now that we are finally in autumn the time feels perfect to return to our spinning wheels an...
After a busy weekend supervising my workshop and social group Ted has enjoyed a good mooch along Hunstanton cliff top this evening. I rather enjoyed it too.😁
I have had a real lesson today in the power of communication through our craft of spinning. I had the pleasure to teach the lovely Sachiko who arranged her spinning workshop as part of her first visit to England. Yes, there was a language barrier with my Japanese being non-existent but we managed a quiet but equally well managed and thoughtful time together just observing and giving information and letting the wonder of wool work its magic. We did need to resort to Google translate to discuss the more intricate details but it all worked very well.
And of course Sachiko produced the most fabulous skein of yarn to take home to Japan, although as always I forgot to take pictures - so I have added one just because FB like it!
Believe in the magic of wool. xx
I've been busy making new seat cushions from spare fleece today. A great way to spend a couple of hours in the sunshine.
