Good Morning all ☀️

It’s great to see the BBC discuss womens pelvic health.

Pelvic floor issues are common, but it’s not inevitable and you don’t have to live with it.

Over the course of 2 evenings in November, we will guide you through exercises, techniques and tips to strengthen and relax your pelvic floor within a relaxed, confidential environment. We will identify muscles, bones and organs of the pelvic floor and the surrounding areas. For our bones and muscles to work correctly we will be working on engaging and exercising the pelvic floor by identifying the two fibres - slow twitch and fast twitch fibres - and how they are used in relation to pelvic health.

There are two types of pelvic floor dysfunctions. High tone and low tone pelvic floor. We will do relaxation exercises and deep abdominal breathing to help relax a high tone pelvic floor and keagle exercises (squeeze and release exercises) to help engage a low tone pelvic floor.

We will also discuss the doorstep incontinence, overactive bladder, exercises for a pelvic floor dysfunction and how to decrease and increase the load on your pelvic floor.

We will touch on pelvic floor prolapse, abdominal overload and p**p. Yes, passing motion without straining and the relationship between healthy poos and good pelvic floor health.
