🌸 Gardening Jobs for July 🌸

• Keep flowers looking good, dead head, feed regularly and hoe growing w**ds.

• Clear ponds of blanket w**d and debris.

• Remove side shoots on tomato plants and any leaves that are shading the fruit.

• For new strawberry plants next year, plant runners in their own pots and remove any excess, this will help keep the main plant healthy.

• Keep checking greenhouse crops for pests, remove affected crop and treat accordingly.

• Prune Wisteria, generally tidy up and cut back long shoots to about seven buds.

🌸 Gardening Tips for June 🌸

• Care for summer containers - deadheading, watering & w**ding.

• Deadhead roses to encourage new blooms.

• Continue to sow salad leaf seeds.

• Thin fruit trees, leaving one or two fruits in a cluster, to help improve the size and quality of the fruit.

• Lightly prune & tidy early flowering shrubs to allow enough time for new shoots to develop ready to produce new flowers next year.

• Check plants for early signs of pests & disease.

• Tidy up & fertilise last year’s perennials - remove old, leggy growth, cut back to new healthy shoots & remove dead foliage.

• Mow lawns regularly to keep them looking healthy.
