Kats cats retirement rescue

I run a non funded retirement rescue. Please dont think retirement means there old what it does mean is there final home.

I have taken kittens as young as 3 weeks requiring hand feeding to cats found living in bushes and garages.

Does anyone happen to know the owner of the horse tied up on the corner of Cleveland street/Dalton Street?
Could you please advise them that the horse had broke free and appeared at my partners work, he has taken it back down and tied it back up but we want the owners to be aware so they can go check.
Please share xx

I have put off making this announcement for quite a few weeks now in the hope things would improve but in actual fact I've ended up with 2 more mouths to feed with even less donations coming in.
Unfortunately we are now unable to take in anymore cats/kittens for the foreseeable future. We struggled last year and paid for most of what we needed ourselves and the same has happened again this year. We never have funds available in the rescue to pay for anything. We don't raise enough money a month to even pay for a mum to be spayed it all comes out of our own pocket and we just cannot continue.
We had to scrap our vehicle as it wasn't cost effective to repair, karl sold his quad to but a car so we could move cats and get food to our fosters. Unfortunately a few days after getting the car on the road someone ran straight out in front of karl and smashed the windscreen even more expense 😭
I have kindly been given a small car cheap to run but sadly I just cannot afford to put a second car on the road.
The last 2 months have been very stressful I have tried to raise funds I've tried to find people to help with selling items and car boots over the summer but sadly there has been nobody available.
I'm beat I've tried everything I can I've emailed companies to ask if they can donate I've gone out and worked (and ripped off by the company as a thank you) but it's just too much now sorry.
I'm not closing my rescue I just cannot help as I am now. Maybe 1 day il find the solution and be back πŸ’”
A massive thank you to everyone who does donate we do truly appreciate it, we still have a few mums and babies to spay/neuter that will be looking for there forever homes I will update as there ready and we have a few long termless that just need a little more reassurance before they look for there forever home.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported us I just wish I could have done more xx

Sorry I havnt been online I've had a terrible couple of weeks and needed time out.
Unexpectedly 1 of our own cats passed away then a few days later karl had an accident at work that resulted in 10 stickers in his lip.
Sadly a few days later 1 of our senior dogs bluebell passed away 😭 this was just too much for me her brother is missing her terribly and looks so confused it's heartbreaking.
Last week I did manage to find an offer on flea treatment that ends the 31st October (pet drugs online)
So all our mums and babies have treatment available for them as alot are getting close to being ready for spay/neuter.
6 boxes were for our own cats and all paid for by ourselves and also the dog treatment which was totally wrong becouse my head wasn't in the rite place πŸ™ˆ if you have a dog that weight and would like to buy them please drop me a message.
As we have spent so much on flea treatments for the cats it's less we can out towards getting all these mums and babies ready for there new homes.
We do receive a few regular donations a month which we appreciate so much but we need more help to get these babies into the homes they deserve.
If you can help by donating even Β£1 we can soon have these babies living the lives they deserve.
To anyone who has tried to contact me I will be in touch

Sorry to anyone who has been waiting to hear from me.
Sadly I've had to bring 5 kittens back as mum has rejected them and 2 kittens were found very lethargic and clearly struggling on Friday.
A massive thank you to Rach Fozz for picking me up so I could get the kittens back here and start helping them. (All 5 are now doing well and taking a feed although 1 is a little reluctant )
This does now mean that I am hand feeding 13 kittens which is no problem but does obviously take more of my time up as 5 are every 3 hours and 7 are every 4 hours although these 7 are slowly eating on there own it isn't enough to fill them.
We're in desperate need of more kitten milk I'm halfway through my second tub since buying 2 Wednesday night.
And also wood based cat litter and kitten food. Any donations would be really appreciated ❀️

Meet missy πŸ₯°
Through no fault of her own this beautiful older girl desperately needs a sofa to snuggle on, unfortunately her owners health is Declining and unfortunately he is no longer able to care for Missy.
Missy is 19 and spayed she has been an outdoor cat but due to her age I'm looking for someone that can offer her the love and safety of an indoor home.
If you have space on your sofa for this beautiful girl please drop me a message xx

Meet Ophelia.
Ophelia decided on Friday night that her foster was not allowed in her own bedroom and unfortunately decided to attack her πŸ˜₯ were unsure what triggered this and we attended immediately thanks to my son for coming out so late to help πŸ™.
We removed ophelia who has her own baby +1 and I made the decision to take all the hand feeders with me. Ophelia has been a good mum but due to not knowing what caused this attack I made the decision to hand feed them all for there own safety and if I'm feeding 2 I might aswell feed them all.
A massive thank you for the donation of Lactol milk from Tricia Schofield it was really appreciated these are hungry babies 🀣
If anyone would like to help we have an amazon wishlist with some of the items we use https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3KRFHY64X55HM?ref_=wl_share

Meet Indie we were contacted by the owner who was struggling and asked if we could rehome this beautiful girl.
We found an amazing lady to foster her she even helped by collecting Indie for me while I'm without transport.
On Saturday I received an amazing message from the foster telling me Indie has found her forever home with them 😍 thank you for giving her an amazing home πŸ’ž xx

Update time

Sorry I havnt been online much recently but things have been a little crazy around here.
A lady contacted us a couple of weeks ago asking for help.
Mum cat decided 3 weeks in that she wasn't interested in her babies anymore and the lady needed help for them.
We moved mum and babies into foster where we already had a mum feeding, it's not something I have done before but a couple of the babies were very small compared to there siblings so the decision was made to see if Ophelia would accept 2 more babies as she only had 1 herself which she did no problem for a few days then the smallest of the 2 was left with mum as we didn't want to risk her own baby not receiving enough milk. The rest of the litter have been hand fed

All sorted now thank you ❀️

Would like to thank everyone involved in getting mum and babies safe.
Massive thank you to Lisa Cass who only came for a rabbit hutch and kindly collected mum and baby and dropped them with there temporary foster.
Huge thank you to philippa parsons for taking mum and babies in and finding the cause of mum being unable to eat for the last couple of days.
Please make sure when your disposing of bones that animals won't be able to get hold of them this poor girl had a chunk of bone stuck in the roof of her mouth meaning she has been unable to eat and unable to feed her babies as she hardly has any milk. This in turn caused mum to be grumpy towards her babies as she must be in pain trying to feed all her babies with barley any milk.

17/09/2023

Update on mum and baby collected from a garden off Anlaby Road Tuesday.

Prince update
We've been spending alot of time with Prince and he has welcomed all affection and attention but only seems to react to me (lashing out) he didn't scratch it was more of a warning when I was stroking him.
It is leading me to believe he is possibly more of a man's cat xx

A little update about mum and babies caught Saturday from there foster and some pictures ❀️
Mum and all 4 kittens are doing great and will all take food from there hand now 😍 thank you to everyone that helps make this possible.

Photos from Kats cats retirement rescue's post 09/09/2023

Yesterday we had a request for help another mum and 4 babies living in someone's garden. This 1 has been a joint effort as having no car only the quad makes it rather tricky.
We went ahead on the quad and with the help of Lisa Cass having a trap and carrier closest to where I needed them and Nick Forest for bringing them out too us and also taking me plus mum and babies over to there foster.
Karl managed to catch 2 by hand when we arrived but 2 went back under the shed to hide. Luckily mum had taken a wonder, she brought back a mouse for her babies and called them out
We hatched a plan managed to block the hole, the finder could pick mum up so she picked up mum and placed her inside the kittens then hid in the bushes where between us we managed to get a kitten each.
The kittens were clearly scared but are strong and healthy even if they are bitey 🀣🀣.
Massive thank you to our foater for agreeing to take this little family in ❀️
Can you help us to keep helping?
Can you spare even Β£1 a month it doesn't seem much but they soon add up, we have 1036 followers Β£1 each would be Β£1036 a month to help get these babies the lives the homes they deserve
Thank you to each and every person that supports us big or small we appreciate it all xx

Prince update.
We've been to the vets this afternoon where he was a really good boy and allowed the vet to give him a good check over
Prince is showing no signs of illness or distress his teeth were checked his heart and his temperature taken. The vet can find nothing of concern and he is in perfectly good health.
Prince has recently been neutered and will still have hormaons that he is dealing with and the vet has also heard of cases similar where some cats don't like the hormoans given off by pregnant ladies.
It was agreed rehoming him was the best course of action as nobody wants to risk there childrens safety and if the lady was to expand her family this could happen again if its the scent he doesn't like.
We will be testing how he reacts with other cats once his hornoans settle then we can decide what home will be right for Prince ❀️
