Congratulations to Alan on being recognised by Campaign for Better Transport as a Transport Hero and for promoting more sustainable transport in and the π π
Alan was named as one of our Heroes because he goes out of his way to champion public transport.
Through his Facebook group, Alan Gouldthorpe, he shares timetables & travel tips, to help empower his local community to travel more sustainably.
Alan told us: βBus travel has opened up new possibilities for me, making it easier to navigate my daily routine sustainably. If we want to encourage people to travel more sustainably, we need to give them the tools to access it, not just show them.β
To mark his efforts we presented him with a framed photo and a medal at our conference last week.
Well done Alan, you're our hero!
