Sorry this is a bit late coming but I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that came and supported our Shimmy into Summer Hafla in aid of Dove House Hospice in Hull last Saturday 15th July.
To our wonderful and talented performers, some who travelled a long way to be with us, Catherine Ridings, Beverly Smith, Leigh Alexandra Sherratt, Jackie Oruc an Bellicious, Siobhan Waring and Imperial dancers, Sarah Martin and Sisters of Sigston, Glennis Larum, Jean Roachford, Tina Minx and not forgetting my own Sahara Dancers and Sahara Tappers you were all simply amazing.
I would also like to thank Bev Smith for bringing her jewelry and costumes, my lovely daughter-in-law Jo for all her baking, Liz Emma for all her help with the raffle and photo's (attached) my wonderful daughter Samantha Jones for being the DJ which I know at times was very challenging with the music system, the lovely Siobhan Waring for being our brilliant compere for the evening and last of all my long suffering husband who had to miss a home rugby match to help me with the setting up (we did win) and my two lovely grandchildren Lila and Bodhi who helped with the setting up, on the cake stall, with the raffle and of course dancing on stage BIG HUGS ❤
As with every event it wouldn't be the same without an audience so thank you for being so supportive and joining in the fun.
We raised an amazing £431 for Dove House and £46.50 for Just Because so please give yourselves a huge round of applause and thank you for being so generous it means a lot.
I am putting up our next event which is our 'Glitz and Glamour' Hafla on Saturday 9th December 2023. This marks a milestone for Sahara Dance as it will be our 25th Hafla that we have organised, So please come along and join us to celebrate our Silver Jubilee of Hafla's ⭐⭐⭐

Slightly smaller crowd so far today, but that hasn’t stopped Sandra from Sahara dance getting everyone moving!
