Now that the recipient has received the gift its safe for me to post pictures.

I was asked to make an oak decanter and glasses tray for a customer and they wanted orca's engraved on the board and the glasses and decanter holes to be filled with orkney tweed .

A creepie I made for a customer .
Made of solid oak and engraved with the house name on the top , finished with coats of osmo polyxoil .

Not being doing much in the way of gifts and cnc work lately as I've been doing other joinery .
But in the last few days I made an Orkney creepie, I did it with the maeshowe dragon engraved on it and I made a plaque for myself to hang on the porch wall to warn visitors 🤣🤣

At last, after what feels like forever, I've finally gotten back up and working .
Here's a clock I made for a customer .

Solid red oak finished with osmo polyxoil .

New hardwood gates made and installed .
3 coats of white sadolin applied before installation.

Things have been a bit quiet lately on the cnc side lately due to my van being off the road for a couple weeks and the machine needing a bit of maintenance.
Here's an oak clock I made for a customer to give as gift .

This tray was made to give as a wedding present , it is made of Ash and finished with coats of osmo polyX oil .
The tray is personalised with the names of the bride and groom and the date , it is also personalised with the dublin gaa logo and has the Irish tartan in the hole where the glasses sit .

An oak clock a customer ordered to mark a very special occasion of a 50th wedding anniversary , the clock is personalised with the date and names but it also has the island of sanday engraved into it .

An oak clock that I made for a customer to give as a house warming gift , marking the day they purchased the house .
I nice way to remember home every time they look at it on the wall.
430mm solid red oak clock with the orkney islands carved into it along with personalisation of the couples name and the date of moving in .
The clock was finished using osmo polyx oil .

The design is based on the rose window on the st magnus cathedral here in Kirkwall.

The clock is 30cm/300mm diameter and is made using solid Red Oak and finished with coats of oil .

A couple of oak clocks I've made recently .
The one is for a 50th birthday and the other is a tree of life personalised to mark the date of birth .

I have permission to post both but I have covered the dates of birth for privacy reasons .

Both clocks are red oak and measure 30cm (approx) and are finished using osmo polyx oil .

The local supporters club was having its 40th anniversary event this weekend so I made a couple of items for them to raffle/auction off .

A trophy I made and supplied to Inverness Flooring & Furniture for a charity golf day they recently hosted.

The trophy was made of sapele and engraved , the engraving was colour filled with enamel paint then all finished with coats of oil .

An oak tray I made for Leask Marine Ltd to give to member of staff as leaving gift .
The holes were recessed to fit a local gin company bottle and glasses , the holes were filled with Orkney Tweed , thanks to Nancy for cutting and installing the circles .

The tray has wrought iron effect handles and is finished with coats of osmo oil .

I was asked to make a couple of boards to hold quaichs that were being presented to retiring members of the Stromness pipe band .

I carved the logo and created a recess for the quaich to sit in , the recess has the pipebands tartan set in to it .
The boards were finished with coats of oil .

A clock I was asked to make .
It's a 430mm diameter red oak clock finished with osmo polyX oil satin finish , the tools are colour filled with black enamel paint.

Well things has been bit quieter on cnc front due to the fact I've been making garden and driveway gates and I'm currently making walnut whisky cabinets .
Here's a couple of items I made for weddings and now they've both been I can share pictures .

I was happy with both items but really happy with how the intricate detail turned out on the Italian chapel .

This one is special to me , my dad's friends all get together and have a golf day in his memory .

I was asked to attend but due to other commitments I couldn't make it so I decided to make this for them , my brother is playing the round with his mates so he will present it to the winner .

I was asked to make this as a wedding gift .

The customer gave me permission to post it up but I decided to blank out the bride and grooms names.

Its made out of white oak and measures 280mm x 280mm (approx ) and is finished using osmo oil .

Over the last 3 or 4 weeks, I've had a few issues with my cnc machine, but I'm hopeful that it's all sorted and running well yet again .
In the weeks before the problems began and since sorting it , here's a few clocks I've made for customers , a couple of returning favourites in the family themed clock and the Aberdeen fc and celtic fc crests , there's 2 firsts in amongst them all and that was the man utd and hearts crests ...

All were made using oak, and most are 280mm in diameter, but there is 1 there at 430mm in diameter , and they were all finished using osmo polyx oil .

The image of the kids is carved into the timber at varying depths which creates the image on the timber.
