We are thrilled to announce that Move it or Lose it has been chosen as one of 39 organisations to help design Physical Activity for Health Pathways to transform the nation's health. 1/4 of us live with long-term health conditions yet we know being active can prevent and help manage these conditions. By working collaboratively we can create a future where physical activity is at the forefront of health and wellness pathways across the nation.

We had a great time 😁
It's been a busy couple of days. Yesterday we had a social get together Painting Pots Knaresborough when we found our creative side. We're all looking forward to seeing our creations!
We had a great morning painting and chatting. We must do it again soon x

It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.
Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore,
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste.
This will bypass the system.

Osteoporosis is a condition where bones lose their strength and density. This causes them to break more easily.
Anyone can get Osteoporosis and there are no early warning signs. There are factors that could help to decrease your risk such as eating healthily & getting enough exercise. Exercise will help to strengthen the muscles and keep your bones strong, making them less likely to break. It is important to combine weight-bearing exercise and muscle strengthening exercises.

Did you know drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death worldwide? 💧
In the UK alone, an average of 400 people die from drowning every year.
That’s why it’s so important to raise awareness of water safety and drowning prevention.
This week is Drowning Prevention Week, which is an annual week organised by The Royal Life Saving Society UK.
We want to encourage everyone to take steps to work together to reduce the number of drowning incidents and keep our communities safe.

😎 Summer has appeared out of nowhere and we’ve been plunged into a heat wave with no time to acclimatise!
☀️ It’s fair to say most of us are struggling a bit with this sudden rise in temperature but if you’re pregnant you’re probably struggling more than most. Especially if you’re not yet on mat leave and are having to go about your usual daily business whilst pregnant in a heat wave.

We are looking to expand our team and take on a freelancer first aid trainer for Saturday classes.
Extra classes may be available if wanted.
Earn £50 per 2hr class.
We teach first aid classes in and around Leeds, Harrogate & Ripon delivering classes in peoples homes and local venues.
Must have:
- availability 2 Saturday mornings per month
- full clean driving licence
- own a car
- friendly, outgoing personality
Advantageous but not essential:
- healthcare or teaching background
- training experience
- first aid experience

I'm so excited to announce our Baby & Child First Aid classes will be starting at the fabulous Cub, The Modern Nursery from June!
Cub is an amazing venue for us with lots of free parking outside for you to use.
All our classes at Cub are on a Saturday, so perfect for parents and families who have already gone back to work from paternity leave.
As always little ones are always welcome to come along with you to our classes. Please don't worry about feeding, nappy changes or there being noise. It won't be any problem at all.

Becoming more forgetful is a normal part of ageing but we can work on strengthening our mind with different activities. Trivia quizzes, Soduku, word puzzles, learning a new hobby or language or attending an exercise class where you have to follow instructions and routines are all great ways to keep the brain active.
