Hey everyone 👋 I'm setting up some workshops for Spring/Summer 2023.

The first being;
🪡🧵 A beginners hand embroidery workshop. March 2023.

I will teach you everything you need to follow modern hand embroidery patterns and the ability to be embroider freestyle.

Starting with learning the very basics; stitches used in all patterns. How to set up a hoop with fabric for stitching and transferring a pattern. More advanced stitches and techniques as the workshops progress and show you how to follow patterns so you can embroider at your own leisure.

This workshop is absolutely ideal for first time stitchers looking to start a new hobby. Or for people that have embroidered before that want to brush up on their skills and maybe haven't embroidered in many years.

I am visiting various venues next week to decide on the location and then I can set some dates. It will be Harrogate based.

All materials are included in the workshop.
1 hr workshop per week. 4 sessions.
£100 per person. (£25 each workshop).

I always experience a small jolt of wonder when stumbling upon natures very own landscape painting. The way the branches of trees and bushes create a framework for the field behind is just wonderful. But, you only get to spot these tiny openings with your mind clear & your eyes open, or is it the opposite way round ? rather discovering these little pictures clears your mind for a split second. The pleasure of walking in nature. 🌱

well of course it was about time I did a painting of the viaduct! This was from a photograph taken on an overcast day from the working mens club beer garden so a slightly different angle than the usual ones you see of it. I will definitely have another go on a sunnier day :)

I’m super enjoying the process , very relaxing and working with oil pastels means there is no drying time .. unlike paintings .. so I can complete one in 4 hours not 4 weeks yippee
