Customer asked for new gates. I told him I wouldn’t be happy hanging on the 6x6 posts that were already in, which were only a couple of months old. Luckily I replaced with 8x8 posts as the 6x6 were only in 10inchs. Then we hung these quality bi fold gates. Materials from Dickson Timber and gates made by Yorkshire Timber Gates

This is why I recommend an oil on your fence. The oil used was Berretine fence oil, available from Dickson Timber in various colours

We don’t just knock a pergola up, we make a pergola. We spend time cutting nice ends to the timber instead of a tacky 45 degree cut.

Big commercial DuraPost job we did in summer. This was mainly 2.4m high, but at the top it was 2.75m high. Planning permission was applied for by the customer to allow such a fence.

From trip hazards to steps. 3 days solid breaking through bed rock to produce these quality steps. To keep costs down we used old weathered 2x2 flags, which are also more in keeping with their surroundings.

Another Durapost installation this week. Ok so, DuraPost is by no means cheap, but it does have the benefit of a 25 year guarantee, and the finished results speak for themselves.

Old decking replaced with new. We went to replace some rotten steps and the customer said how they would like a bigger area as they felt the existing decking was too small, but they had nowhere for it as they parked their car below. With my vision, I explained that we could build a new deck over the top of the car and have an area which was much more useable and still park the car in their yard. They now have a deck 3 times the size of the old and still retained a parking space. Jobs a good un.
